CARE INSTRUCTIONS
All you need for day-to-day
cleaning is a damp cloth,
possibly with a little detergent.
Do not use cleaners that
contain abrasives, ammonia
or bleaching agents. Dry the
surface with a clean cloth after
washing.
The worktops in solid wood
have been factory-treated with
one coat of oil. To ensure that
the worktop retains its durable surface for many years to
come, it should be treated with
BEHANDLA wood treatment oil
3вЂ“5 times a year.
The worktop surface in acrylic
can be cleaned with the
enclosed cleaning and polishing
set. Minor scratches can be
removed by using the enclosed
fibrous fleece. Wet it in water
and work the surface with
circular movements. Finish off
by treating the surface with the
cleaning and polishing agent.

GOOD TO KNOW
FIXA diffusion barrier shall be
mounted above the dishwasher
for added protection against
moisture. The diffusion barrier is

INFORMATION
BEHANDLA wood treatment
oil contains mostly linseed oil.
And water. That way we avoid
solvents that can harm the
environment. And thereвЂ™s no
strong smell from the oil when
you are using it.
Choosing a worktop for your kitchen is important, because the surface has to put up with a lot - for many years. We have worktops in
a wide choice of colours and materials. Do you want a worktop that
matches the colour scheme in the rest of the kitchen? Or do you like
exciting contrasts? Do you want one made of solid wood, which, like
every other living material, needs a little loving care? Or a durable
laminate worktop thatвЂ™s easy to clean? All worktops are available in
standard sizes, but you can also order made-to-measure worktops in
different sizes and shapes.
You can also get worktops in the same materials, as well as in acrylic
or stone, to fit your kitchen layout perfectly. Order them, made-tomeasure from the PERSONLIG series. You can even order them with
rounded corners, or specially adapted to fit around pillars or other
unique design features in your kitchen. You have masses of choice in
terms of colours and patterns вЂ“ and made-to-measure worktops are
delivered direct to your door.
If you choose made-to-measure worktops in a laminate finish you
can also give them a personal expression with a choice of edging
strips. For example, there is laminate, solid aluminium or wood. You
can also choose between edging strips in two thicknesses, as well
as rounded or straight-edge versions. Another advantage of madeto-measure worktops is that you can order them complete with your
choice of factory-fitted sink.

HOW TO CHOOSE A WORKTOP
2. Choose your style
Choose your worktops at the same time as your choose your
kitchen doors and drawer fronts. Worktops are an integral part
of your kitchen together with other prominent features such as
cabinet doors and tiles. The choice of worktop adds the final
personal touch to your kitchen style.
1. Consider your needs
Choose your worktops with care. You will use them for many
years and they are important for the overall appearance of
your kitchen, the impression it gives and how well it works.
Choosing the right material depends on how you use your
kitchen in everyday life. If you regularly use the worktops for
preparing food, or have children who like to help in the kitchen, laminate or stone worktops make a good choice. These
resist moisture and heat. They also last well and are easy to
clean. Even though the worktops are very durable we still
recommend that you use a pot stand when you place hot pots
directly on them.
Whether you prefer laminate, wood, acrylic or stone, you always have a choice of colours and patterns. If you want
made-to-measure worktops in a laminate finish you also have
a large selection of edging strips to choose from. This means
you can have worktops that blend in with the rest of your kitchen вЂ“ or create a stunning contrast.
3. Standard or special
Plan your worktops at the same time as you plan the rest of
your kitchen. Experiment with various solutions. Consider if you
can use worktops in standard lengths or if you need to shape
or lengthen worktops to fit your kitchen solution.
Solid wood worktops create a pleasant, welcoming atmosphere in your kitchen. Provided it is treated regularly, this living
material is also hard-wearing. However, wood does not resist
heat and scratches as well as laminate or stone.
If you donвЂ™t use your worktops a great deal and are looking
for a kitchen with that distinctive little extra, take a look at our
acrylic worktops. These are moulded in one single piece and
can be ordered with fully integrated bowls in the same material as the worktop. The smooth, seamless surface is easy to
clean.
You can take home worktops in various standard lengths today. If you choose made-to-measure worktops you can have
them adapted exactly to your requirements and the layout of
your kitchen вЂ“ joined at the angle you wish, narrower where
space is limited, or adapted to structural features. Why not

WORKTOP IN LAMINATE
Durable and easy to keep clean
If you want a worktop that can take tough daily use вЂ“ choose a
laminated worktop. We test ours to ensure that they can cope
with hot pans, as well as shrug off spilled wine, oil and hot
drinks. They are even resistant to chemicals, and the smooth,
hard surface is easy to keep clean. Even though the worktops
are very durable we still recommend that you use a pot stand
when you place hot pots directly on them.

WORKTOP IN SOLID WOOD
A living surface
Wooden worktops will age gracefully if you treat them regularly with oil. We pretreat all our wood worktops to give them
a good start. Then itвЂ™s up to you to maintain the wood by treating it with BEHANDLA wood treatment oil every now and then.
The oil protects the wood from marks, stains and cracks, and
prevents water from penetrating the surface and destroying
the wood. If the surface looks a little tired and worn after some
time, you can give it a real face-lift by sanding and oiling it. It
will be like new. Even though the worktops are very durable we
still recommend that you use a pot stand when you place hot
pots directly on them.

BEHANDLA wood treatment oil. Protects the wood, both
on the surface and in depth; gives the surface a beautiful
sheen and prolongs the life of the worktop. The oil is approved for use on surfaces where food is prepared. Treat
the worktop 3-5 times /year. A 0.75 litre can contains

WORKTOP IN ACRYLIC
Solid surface in the kitchen
With a made-to-measure acrylic worktop you can also choose
matching bowls in the same material. Everything is cast in one
piece, with no seams, and you can choose between two different colours, black and white. The work surface may be less
scratch- and heat-resistant than laminate or stone worktops,
but the smooth, poreless surface is easy to keep clean. And if
you want to remove small scratches and stains, you can polish
the surface with the polishing and cleaning set that comes with
it. Even though the worktops are very durable we still recommend that you use a pot stand when you place hot pots directly on them.

WORKTOP IN STONE
Stone-hard surface
If you choose a made-to-measure stone worktop you'll get a
work surface that's extremely durable. The 12 mm top layer of
the worktop is a moulded stone powder. This makes the surface non-porous, smooth and easy to keep clean. It's also stain
resistant, and doesn't require any impregnation. And the surface always looks the same, which is good to know if you want
several worktops in your kitchen. Even though the worktops are
very durable we still recommend that you use a pot stand
when you place hot pots directly on them.

CHOOSE EDGING STRIPS FOR THE LAMINATED WORKTOP
All edging strips come in 3.8 cm thick versions, and some are
also available in 7.6 cm thicknesses to give your worktop a totally different look and a different working height. (See prices
on page 6.)
If you want a fully coordinated worktop, choose a laminate
edging strip in the same colour/pattern as the worktop itself. You have a choice of a rounded or straight front edge.
Alternatively, give the worktop its own distinctive personality with a contrasting colour or a different material. Choose between polypropylene in seven different finishes, acrylic plastic
in 3 different colours, solid aluminium, or wooden edging strips.
