On October 4, we had our semi-annual garage sale. It was a great success. I want to thank all of you that helped.
Hope to see all of you in April.
On the 11th, we had Brian Ledbetter the mentalist put on a show for us. It was a lot of fun. We also had a dinner
with the show for which the kitchen staff got a lot of compliments.
On the 26th we had the kids Halloween party. I went down to observe. When I walked in, the first thing I noticed
was all of the volunteers helping out doing all sorts of things. There was a great turnout of kids. They could get
their faces painted, go bowling, shoot baskets, do the limbo bar and paint their own pumpkin. When each event was
finished, the children got candy along with their own special bag of goodies. It was a great success.
I want to take this time to thank all of the volunteers who help make this lodge so great. Normally, I don’t mention
names but I would like to thank Tracy. Last month I wasn’t able to get my news in til the 29th so I was
the one to blame for getting the newsletter late. She works her rear off for this lodge. The other person
would be Jon. He goes beyond and above what the administrator needs to do. Thank you to both of
you. Stan Fry, Governor
We are a family center. Please
refrain from using vulgar language in the lodge. (no swearing) Also, be considerate of
those who do not chew. Please
dispose of your tobacco cup
properly. Thank you!
We appreciate that you’re trying to help,
but if you are not scheduled to volunteer
or are not bartending, please keep your
activities outside of the kitchen. Less
confusion that way. Thank you

The Donors Circle is a recognition program designed to recognize donors who send an individual tax-deductible Endowment Fund donation to Moose Charities. (This program replaces both
Gimme 5 and Endowment Fund Club) *Individuals may donate online at
www.moosecharities.org to participate in the Donors Circle recognition program, donate at a
conference/convention or send a check to Moose Charities marked “Donors Circle). This donation goes to the Endowment Fund. *Endowment Fund donations are the most important long
term investment in the support of Mooseheart and Moosehaven. When individuals make endowment fund donations directly to Moose Charities the donation is tax deductible.
*Individuals may join the Donors Circle at any time with a minimum $25 donation and their
donations are cumulative over time. As a donor reaches each level of the Donors Circle recognition program, a pin for that level will be sent from Moose Charities. MEMBERS’ PRIMARY
LODGES/CHAPTERS will receive credit’ for their individual donations to the Donors Circle.
*Fraternity Units may collect money from individuals at meetings or conferences for the Donors Circle and remit to Moose Charities using the Donors Circle gift receipts for each individual. Send to : Moose Charities, 155 S. International Drive, Mooseheart, IL 60539-1100.
*Donors Circle Chairmen and Endowment Fund Chairmen will continue with their respective
areas, however, the Donors Circle summary will be combined with the Endowment Fund report
for recognition. * To find out more about the Donors Circle recognition program and see all
donors recognized by level, please visit www.moosecharities/donorscircle. **When each of us
joined the Moose fraternity we became members of the Defending Circle, designed to protect
children in need and senior members of our fraternity. We promised to give of our substance
and this is your opportunity to take that next step in your membership by becoming a member of
the Donors Circle. And you are assisting your Lodge/Chapter/Moose Legion as
well as their members to achieve their goals.
For Your Information: While it is
unfortunate when a member
chooses to allow their Moose card
to expire, it is all the more unfortunate that during the time your card
is expired, you may NOT even be
signed in as a qualified guest.
Friends and family, (significant
other excluded) who have never
been a member may be signed in 2
times. On the 3rd visit, it is required that your guest joins as a
member in order to continue using
the amenities of our lodge. As
dues-paying’ members, we appreciate your support in helping us to
enforce this rule.
You can help *Turn in
any community service
hours you perform by
the 5th of each month.
Women’s hours can be placed in our
drop box in the Social Quarters.
*Keep saving your Thriftway receipts! & Campbell soup labels Drop

from there. Thriftway donates back
to us a percentage of the total receipts. . (*Please, receipts may not
be more than 3 months old) We
