Event, Cause and Effect

Classwork October, 2015
For each of the following, explain the event, what caused it and what were
the immediate effects in relation to the revolutionary times. To be handled
in after class.
1. Event, Cause and Effect: Tax collectors confiscate a cargo of
wine and a private ship, imprisoning its owner.
2. Event, Cause and Effect: British soldiers shoot against
civilian colonists in the streets of Boston.
3. Event, Cause and Effect: The Olive Branch Petition was sent
to King George III of England.
4. Event, Cause and Effect: Colonial forces destroy British
troops in this battle, which becomes a turning point for the
colonists and their revolutionary war.
5. Event, Cause and Effect: This patriot’s victory convinced
England that the war was not worth fighting anymore.
