March | 2014 Orta Doğu Royal Society of Chemistry in the Middle East Katar Üniversitesi’nde düzenlenen Enerji Sempozyumundaki Katılımcılar Bölgenizde kimya tanıtımı, desteği ve övgüsünü ne şekilde gerçekleştirdiğimizi gösteren Royal Society of Chemistry in the Middle East dergisinin 2014 yılı ilk sayısına hoş geldiniz. Faaliyetlerimiz, eğitim, akreditasyon, konferanslar, bilim politikası, stratejik ve kurumsal ortaklıklar ile kimyanın halka tanıtılmasını içermektedir. Aynı zamanda uluslararası kapsamda bir yayıncı olarak görev yapmaktayız. Katar Üniversitesi’nde düzenlenen Enerji Sempozyumundaki Katılımcılar Delegates at the Energy Symposium at Qatar University Orta Doğu Uluslararası Gelişim Yöneticimiz Stuart Govan ile Aralık ayında Suudi Arabistan’da Kral Saud Üniversitesi’nde, BAE’de Masdar Enstitüsü’nde ve Katar Üniversitesi’nde düzenlenen üç Enerji Sempozyumunda birçoğunuzu görmek bizi çok mutlu etti. Bu etkinliklere güneş enerjisi, materyaller ve karbon depolama alanlarında dünyada öncü kişileri bir araya getiren 250’nin üzerinde temsilci katıldı. Katılımcılar, Körfez’deki enerji ile ilgili zorluk ve fırsatlara nasıl yaklaşacakları konusunda çeşitli tartışmalar yürütmek üzere tanınmış araştırmacılar ile bir araya geldi. Suyun tuzdan arındırılması, daha temiz yakıtların kullanılması ve sürdürülebilir enerji kaynaklarından faydalanılması yönünde daha fazla çözüm geliştirmek üzere yürütülecek toplantılar 2014 yılı için halihazırda planlanmış durumda. Our activities span education, accreditation, conferences, science policy, strategic and corporate partnerships and the promotion of chemistry to the public. We are also an international publisher. Myself and Stuart Govan, our International Development Manager in the Middle East were delighted to see so many of you at our three Energy Symposia in December, held at King Saud University, Saudi Arabia; Masdar Institute, UAE; and Qatar University.Over 250 delegates attended these events, which brought together world-leading figures from the solar energy, materials and carbon storage fields. They met local high- profile researchers to discuss how to tackle energy challenges and opportunities in the Gulf. Followup meetings are already planned in 2014 to develop solutions to problems such as water desalination, cleaner fuels and sustainable energy sources.
