AYMAN YASİN ATAT HISTORY OF ISLAMIC MEDICINE DATE EVERY THURSDAY Introduction Islamic medicine is considered an important stage between Greek and modern medicine. Many Arabic physicians translated ancient texts to which they added their experiences in treating the diseases and in the usage of simple drugs. Furthermore, they organized the medical careers such as pharmacist and the control of physicians. The appearance of Arabic translations of Greek books and the Arabic medical encyclopedias played an important role in developing Islamic medicine, so studying those books will give profits to anybody with an interest in studying the History of Islamic medicine.
