Technical Information DST 100 DECOLOURANT PHYSICAL – CHEMICAL CHARACTERISTICS Appearance pH (2%) Density Viscosity Dissolubility : Colorless/Yellowish, Clear, Liquid : 3.5 ± 0.5 (30% aqueous solution) : 1.20 ± 0.05 g/cm3 : 40-400 cP(@23°C) : Soluble GENERALITY DST 100 is intended to decolorize wastewater resulting from paint, textiles, paper, printing ink industries, etc. DST 100 reduces COD values. If the COD of the wastewater is too high, the product may be used with a coagulant. However, the two products should not be mixed and does from separate dosing tanks. After the product is added to the wastewater, it is recommended that it is mixed continuously. DOSES OF USES DST 100 works at ambient temperature. Effective pH range should between 5–8.5. Like other coagulants, due to the cationic character DST 100disrupts stabilization of the paint within the waste water, absorbs it inside and precipitates. This substantially helps removal of COD. Product dosage may be between 10 - 50 g/m3, if used with different coagulants. If the product is to be used a standalone coagulant, a dosage of 50 - 300 g/m3 may be applied.
