The students enjoyed “PJ Day” and a hot dog fun lunch! Thank you to everyone who participated in these events. We wish to extend a special thank you to John and Gloria Ginakes (Thunderbird Family Restaurant) for sponsoring the Hot Dog lunch. Thanks to your generosity, the lunch was a huge success! February is exam and parent teacher month. Written and/or oral exams will be held on February 2nd with report cards being handed out the following week. Parent teacher interviews are scheduled for February 23rd. Ας εχουµε την µεσιτεια της παντοτε και την καθοδηγηση της, φωτεινο παραδειγµα η ζωη της , µια ζωη αφιερωµενη στην προσευχη και στην βοηθεια των κακοποιηµενων γυναικων.Μας εµπνεει λοιπον και µας η αγαπηµενη µας Αγια να κανουµε το καλο κατα δυναµη. Στην Αδελφοτητα µας η αγαπη εχει ονοµα ! Λεγεται βοηθηµα στον πασχοντα αδελφο, το πακεττο αγαπης που παντα βρισκεται στο γραφειο για οποιον το χρειαζεται, στην υιοθετηµενη κοπελιτσα στις Φιλιππινες και σε ορφανα της Γουατεµαλας και της Ελλαδας και της Πολης, τροφιµα και φαρµακα. Οπου υπαρχει αναγκη οι κυριες παντα προθυµες να δωσουν την αγαπη τους, ενα χαµογελο, µια προσευχη, ενα αγγιγµα, ενα δακρυ µια µεγαλη αγκαλια. The Ladies Philoptochos have been blessed to have had a wonderful year, serving our local community, and helping with national and international philanthropic missions. All of this is made possible by God’s grace and your support and encouragement. We are looking forward to a wonderful 2013. Congratulations to our newly elected Parish Council, we look forward to working together, to continue growing our community for the glory of God. With the love of Christ, You are invited… Religion for Kids provides spiritual nourishment for our youth • Ages 5-18 years (Kindergarten to Grade 12) (students entering Kindergarten must be turning 5 years old by Dec. 31) When: Sundays, after Holy Communion 11:45-12:30 p.m. in the Manitoba Hellenic Cultural Centre classrooms. All families are encouraged to bring their children for liturgy at 10:30 a.m. Upon receiving Holy Communion, the children will proceed to the MHCC for Sunday school. Includes a Teen Program for teen’s ages 13 –18. MISSIONS MONTH Sunday School is proud to sponsor Matthias a 6-year-old boy from the Philippines through the “Little Angels” Orthodox Missions. We also support the Raffael Hogar Orphanage in Guatemala. A collection box is passed around each Sunday and students may donate to these special causes. The students are encouraged to write letters to Matthias telling him about themselves, and what life in Canada is like. Please give your letters to Angie Houvardas during Sunday School hours. Please join us on March 10 for Coffee hosted by the Sunday School teachers in the MHCC. All proceeds raised will go towards our 2 Missions projects. Rev.
