1 Welcome Message
Dear participant,
After the six first successful editions, we face in 2013 the 7th edition of the WKF Youth Camp
and World Cup. This year we continue with the children categories, and the WKF Youth Cup
will take place in parallel. This time in the city of Umag, in Istria, Croatia, where the
participants are going to find the ideal conditions to fulfil the objective of the Camp; what it
is like to train with top world champions in a friendly and cosmopolitan atmosphere whilst
getting in touch for a whole week with the state of the art sport of Karate.
Umag can be easily reached by road from many places in Central Europe and not only, which
assures this 7th edition to be a complete success.
Finally, I would like to thank the Croatian Karate Federation and the local authorities for
their help and support and I am looking forward to welcoming you all personally.

4. Info on participating ages
-Participating ages: 10,11,12,13,14,15,16 and 17 years old
-Participants to the Camp must be born between 1st July 1996 and 1st July 2004.
-Younger and/or older participants will not be allowed
5. Registrations Details
Registration to the Youth Training Camp / Karate 1 Youth World Cup must be done
through your WKF National Federation Member. The WKF National Federations will
use the WKF online registration for this purpose (the specific url to be communicated
in the next bulletin).
Deadline of online registration: 15 days before the Youth Training Camp and Cup.
After that deadline (15th June 2014) online Registration will close and a penalty to
all further registrations may be applied according to the WKF Rules.
Registration fees
The young participants will pay 70€ during the official registration (HQ Hotel Sol
Garden Istra, Monday 30th June 2014. from 12:00 – 18:00) as participation fees for
the 7th WKF Youth Training Camp.

It is strongly recommended for all the participants, their accompanying persons and
trainers to stay at the official hotel. Otherwise, the participation fees for all activities
of the Training Camp will be 100€.
Participation to the WKF Kids Competition & Karate 1 WKF Youth Cup will be free
of charge (meaning that there are no entry fees) for the participants of the 7th WKF
Youth training Camp.
For all others /only competitors for KARATE 1 / entry fees for competition are 40€
and must be paid during the official Registration in:

After confirmation, the guest is required to pay 30% of the full amount within 24
hours (not including Saturdays, Sundays or holidays) to make the reservation valid.
The other 70% the guest is required to pay at least 35 days before arrival.

Umag in Istria is the first city you will reach when approaching Istria from Western
Europe. Umag conquers with its allure, diversity and richness of the tourist offer.
Umag is a town of around 13,000 inhabitants which with about 45 km of the
coastline and interesting hinterland integrates special features of the whole region
and might be the best introduction into a different experience of the Mediterranean.
The hinterland of Umag reveals beautiful hills with fortifications that offer us
magnificent scenery and marvellous history, abundance of autochthonous
agricultural specialties and friendly hosts. Sea in Umag is crystal clear and suitable
for swimming from May till October.
What’s most important is that tourism has significantly developed in the last several
years so the destination has many new top quality accommodation facilities on offer
(three or four stars), luxurious as well as family oriented hotels, villas, suites or
ecology campsites. These are all designed according to the intrinsic spirit of nature
and “Mediterranean as is used to be”.

10. Annex I “WKF Coach Activities”
Welcome to the WKF coach license program for Umag 2014. The coaches
program is proving to be a great success, after the first year of its implementation we
already have over 500 registered coaches. This program is proving its capacity to
standardize the coaches’ function and thereby make our competitions safer, further
enforcing the anti doping rules as well as enhancing disciplined and courteous
behaviour overall. This year coaches will be able to access both coach levels, either
the WKF Accredited Coach or the WKF Certified Kata and/or Kumite Coach.
Those coaches who wish to attend the “Accredited Coach Briefing” in Umag
must fill out the registration form and agreement enclosed in the bulletin as
well as register online for the event. The documentation must be sent to the
following email addresses: [email protected] and [email protected] no
later than May 30 th. Those Accredited Coaches who wish to take the “Certified
Kumite and/or Kata Coach Exam” in Umag do not have to sign the agreement
again; they need to send the registration form included in the bulletin and
register online by May 30 th.
 Please
note that only coaches in possession of the “WKF Accredited
Coach” level have access to the “Certified Kumite and/or Kata Coach
Exams”.
 Please note that it is not possible to take part in both the “Accredited
Coach Briefing” and the “Certified Kumite and/or Kata Coach Exams”.
The WKF must receive the corresponding payments by bank transfer to the account
indicated in the registration form (including all bank transfer charges). In order to ease
the process all the payments must come from National Federations, not individual
coaches. All bank transfers must be received at the WKF bank account no later than
May 30th.
Finally, the “Accredited Coach” diplomas will be handed out in U m a g , each
individual is responsible for picking up their diploma and those coaches who do not
do so will be charged with the shipping costs incurred by sending their diploma to
their National Federations. The “Certified Kata and Kumite Coach” diplomas will be
sent by regular mail via the National Federations to those coaches who pass the exam.
 Remember
that no coaches can perform such function in WKF
Championships if not in possession of the WKF Accredited Coach level.
