The 2nd Edition of FLOWPATH, the National Meeting
on Hydrogeology will take place from Wednesday 18
to Friday 20 June 2014 at the University of Tuscia.
The event aroused great interest: submitted abstract
are more than 80 and the Authors involved come
from Universities, Public Bodies, Private Companies
of Italy and many other countries such as Algeria,
Austria, Belgium, Canada, Egypt, France, Germany,
United Kingdom, Guatemala, Portugal, Russia, Serbia,
Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland, Tunisia, USA.
The initiative is an opportunity for professionals,
administrators and researchers to exchange their
knowledge and learn new experiences in the field of
groundwater. It will also be a precious occasion for
students and young hydrogeologists to interact with
experts.
The 2014 edition of Flowpath received more than 80 abstracts; each
abstract underwent two peer-reviews and was assigned to oral or
poster presentation:
• Session 1: 10 oral presentations and 4 posters;
• Session 2: 11 oral presentations and 19 posters;
• Session 3: 9 oral presentations and 2 posters;
• Session 4: 10 oral presentations and 14 posters.
Each session will start with the Key note lecture, held by international
experts. At the end of the 1st and 2nd day, Chairs will briefly illustrate
the poster contributions and stimulate discussion during the poster
session.
During the meeting the President of the IAH Italian Chapter, Marco
Petitta, will present AQUA 2015, the 42nd IAH Congress.
The annual IAH Italian Chapter General Assembly will take place the
last day, before the field trip.

significant laboratory for the hydrogeology of the volcanic
rocks; buffet lunch at the Botanical Garden of the Tuscia
University.

Instructions for Authors
Each oral presentation will have a
mandatory duration of 12 minutes, followed by 3 minutes for
questions and discussion. Slides must be in English. Speech can be in
English or Italian (English warmly recommended). Presentation files
(in .ppt, .pptx or .pdf) have to be delivered by 9:00 (morning sessions)
or 14:00 (afternoon sessions). Alternatively, presentations can be sent
via e-mail ([email protected]) the day before.
Poster Posters must be in English. Max dimensions are 90x120 cm.
The posters can be hanged in the morning of the 18th of June from
8.30 am. Posters will be displayed until the morning of the 20th.

The registration fee includes: access to the event spaces, congress kit,
coffee breaks and lunches of 18th and 19th of June. The Abstracts
volume, the Conference dinner and the Field trip can be
guaranteed only to those who made the pre-registration by May
31st.
Authors presenting an accepted abstract must register to attend
the Conference and pay the appropriate registration fee before
May 31st, 2014. Failure to register, automatically implies that the
abstract will not be included in the Abstract Volume.

Viterbo has two railway stations: “Porta Romana”, south of town,
connected to Rome with the FM3 Line, and “Porta Fiorentina”, north
of town, connected to Orte.
By Train
- Freccia Rossa/Intercity lines: get off in Roma Termini, then get the
train to Orte (regional train FL1 Line,) then regional train to Viterbo
“Porta Fiorentina”.
- As a second option, from Roma Termini station you can take the
subway, “Line A - direction Battistini” and stop at “Valle Aurelia”. Here
