REASON: to rework baggage RH floor panel, to prevent possible interference with AFT
Float Right Assy P/N 3G9560V00432 or P/N 3G9560V01532.
HELICOPTERS AFFECTED: all the following AB139/AW139 helicopters equipped with
AFT Float Right Assy P/N 3G9560V00432 or P/N 3G9560V01532:
-/ from S/N 31 005 to S/N 31157 (except S/N 31 007);
-/from S/N 31201 to S/N 31539, (except SIN's 31431, 31491, 31500, 31516, 31527,
31530,31531,31532, 31534);
-/ from S/N 41001 to S/N 41 023;
-/ from S/N 41201 to 41362; S/N 41365, S/N 41367 and S/N 41372.
COMPLIANCE: within three hundred (300) flight hours or six (6) months from receipt of
this Bollettino Tecnico, whichever comes first.

DESCRIPTION: contact marks have been reported on some aircraft between the RHS
(
rear float bottle valve connector and the baggage floor compartment panel.
It has been verified that by implementing the right connector orientation in
accordance with AMP instruction, this issue will not occur.
However, as a complementary preventive action to the above, this Bollettino Tecnico
provides the instructions to rework locally the panel increasing the tolerance of the
installation.
REQUIRED MANPOWER: it is estimated that in order to accomplish this Bollettino
Tecnico eight (8) maintenance man-hours (MMH) are necessary.
Man-hours are based on hands-on time and may vary with personnel and facilities
available.
WARRANTY:
•
Owners/Operators who comply with the instructions in this Bulletin, no later than
the applicable date in the "Compliance section" will be eligible to receive
replacements parts on a "free of charge basis", with the exception of consumable

materials.
NOTE: Customers who fail to comply with the instructions in this bulletin before
the compliance date are not eligible for the aforementioned special policy

Please destroy locally the removed parts.

COMPLIANCE INSTRUCTIONS:
1.
Prepare the helicopter for a safe ground maintenance. Disconnect the battery and

all the electrical power sources and/or the external power supply. Refer to AMP, see
OM no 39-A-00-20-00-00A-120A-A.
2.
Remove the AFT right float assembly. Referto AMP, see OM no 39-A-95-61-04-00A520A-K.
3.
With reference to figure 1, gain access to the right aft float area under the baggage
compartment.
4.
With reference to figure 2, countermark position for cut-out using doubler P/N
3G5306P4 7051 as a template.
5.
With reference to figures 2 and 3, perform cut-out on the floor panel according to
figure 3 section D-0.

With reference to figures 3 section C-C and related schematic view, install doubler
P/N 3G5306P47051 on the floor panel using adhesive (C231) and one ply of fiber
glass. Fix the doubler with four rivets P/N NAS1721 C4L2P (or P/N NAS1721 C4-2P)
and let the adhesive cure.

Remark the floor panel as P/N 3G5306P47031 by means of permanent black ink felt
pen or by means of vibropen.

Install the AFT right float assembly. Refer to AMP, see OM no 39-A-95-61-04-00A720A-K.

Return the helicopter to flight configuration and record for compliance with this
Bollettino Tecnico on the helicopter logbook.
