Nato dalla collaborazione tra
Castaldi Lighting e lo Studio 5+1AA,
HALF prosegue la strada aperta da
Bubble e Bubble UP arricchendo una
gamma di prodotti in cui luce e design
parlano lo stesso linguaggio. Semplice
e dalla forte personalità, basta un solo
HALF per generare emozioni che
aumentano al crescere delle infinite
composizioni possibili, capaci di dar
vita ad ogni spazio, ad ogni ambiente,
ad ogni scelta architettonica.
Disponibile in due dimensioni, HALF
è luminoso e uniforme in tutto il suo
volume, stabilendo un forte legame tra
la forma e la luce.

The fruit of a collaboration between
Castaldi Lighting and the 5+1AA Studio
has ensured that HALF continues along
the path opened up by Bubble and Bubble
UP thereby enhancing a range of products
in which light and design speak the same
language.
Simple minimal characteristics create
strong visual effects and with the use of
just one Half generating intense emotions.
Imaginative mounting positions build into
creative arrays of stunning luminaires.
Available in two sizes, Half provides
uniform light throughout it’s entire body
shape creating a strong link between form
and light.

Cosa c’è dietro il muro?
Si possono disegnare oggetti in
maniera compiuta, e anche la luce
può arrivare a definirsi in maniera
compiuta con una forma o con una
volontà precisa.
Non riusciamo a pensare la luce come
qualcosa che non sia in grado di
creare delle reazioni spaziali, al luogo
dove si inserisce, alle persone che la
vivono e che sempre possono trovarla
un po’ sorprendente.
Allora dopo avere fatto librare in aria
anelli di luce a geometria variabile,
oggi l’anello sembra uscire da una
materia solida, opaca, affermando
come la luce sia la cosa più magica per
cambiare la percezione di uno spazio.
E ne basta metà! Half.
What lies behind the wall?
Castaldi strive to design faultless
luminaires which define themselves
by illuminated shape and form or the
light created defines the environment
in which they are utilised.
Light should not be thought of in
terms of something unable to create
spacial reactions but rather should be
regarded as a surprising enhancing
feature.
Having suspended light rings with
varying geometries, illuminated
opaque rings create a magical effect
altering mood and character within
a space.
It only takes HALF!

Uniformità di emissione/Uniform light emission
Lo schermo in policarbonato stampato in un unico pezzo privo di giunzioni, nasconde i punti luce e
si monta a scatto senza uso di utensili. La sorgente è uno speciale circuito flessibile che si adatta alla
forma dell’apparecchio e fa da supporto ai LED front e side emitting posizionati in modo da garantire
una luminosità uniforme anche nelle zone più critiche come quelle di aggancio dello schermo.
The moulded polycarbonate screen is made from a single block with no joints. It conceals the light
points and is snap fitted without the need for tools.
The light source is a special flexible circuit that adapts to the shape of the fixture and functions
as a support for the front and side LEDs positioned in such a way as to ensure uniform brightness
even in the most critical areas such as the screen attachment points.

L’accessorio per l’installazione in pareti e soffitti
di cartongesso permette di incassare
la componentistica elettrica e le testate
di chiusura di Half. Dopo le operazioni di finitura
del muro l’unico elemento a vista è lo schermo.
The accessory for installation in plasterboard
walls and ceiling allows the electrical
components and Half end caps to be set into the
wall. After installation the only element that is
protruding from the wall is the opal diffuser.
MEC6802
Il kit di rinforzo per pareti e soffitti in cartongesso
MEC6802 garantisce un fissaggio sicuro anche
senza l’uso di box elettrici.
I driver sono remoti e le sottili testate rimangono
in vista.
The reinforcement kit for plasterboard walls
and ceilings MEC6802 provide secure fixing
even without the use of electrical boxes.
The drivers are remote and the thin end caps
remain in sight.

l’accessorio MEC6081, come interfaccia,
tra apparecchio e muro.
HALF si distanzia di 3cm dalla parete.

can be used as an interface between the fixture
and mounting surface.
