ESPERIMENTI DI BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT EXPERIMENTS
Gli esperimenti di Business Development sono finalizzati a creare innovazione in ambiti quali: l’incremento
del green business o la promozione della salute e del benessere.
Tali esperimenti mirano a sviluppare nuovi prodotti o servizi, nuove collaborazioni strategiche, nuovi
modelli di business o un nuovo sistema di finanziamento in un approccio di Open Innovation, con
dialogo aperto, condivisione delle conoscenze, collaborazione e apprendimento. In questi esperimenti
vengono coinvolte organizzazioni e aziende sia dal lato della domanda che dell’offerta, (es: produttori,
Comuni, edilizia e fornitori di servizi pubblici come scuole o ospedali).

Experiences
We will organize Business Development Experiments, in order to create substantial innovations, e.g.
in generating green business growth or in promoting health and wellbeing. The ambition is to move
beyond current business and experiences. The Experiments will aim to develop new products, or new
services, new strategic collaborations, new business models or new funding scheme.
We will facilitate an Open Innovation approach, involving open dialogues, knowledge sharing,
collaboration and learning. In these Experiments we aim to involve organizations and industries from
supply-side and demand-side, e.g. manufacturers, municipalities, building industry and public service
providers, like schools or hospitals.
Benefits of participating in the Business Development Experiments: opportunities for co-creating
business value and profit; Interaction with lead customers in various European cities, access to
knowledge on the effects of SSL on health and wellbeing; access to knowledge on generating green
business growth based on SSL; Synergy between European Lighting Clusters’ members. We will
organize follow-up workshops during 2014 and 2015 with organizations that choose to actively
participate in the Business Development Experiments, together with experts from SSL-erate.

Il Comune di Bassano del Grappa e il Consorzio Luce in Veneto sono lieti di invitarvi a due giornate
di workshop nell’ambito di due progetti europei: ENIGMA e SSL-erate, (FP7 - ICT - CSA e PCP).
Sono previsti quattro momenti di lavoro che coinvolgono tutti i soggetti interessati ad confronto
aperto in merito al futuro dell’illuminazione a LED nel nostro territorio e alle altre opportunità di
sviluppo locale sostenibile.
The Municipality of the Bassano del Grappa and the Consortium Luce in Veneto are happy to invite
you to a 2 day workshops within the framework of two European projects: ENIGMA and SSL-erate
(7PQ - CSA and PCP). Four different work sessions aim to involve all stakeholders in an open
dialogue about the future of LED lighting in our territory and other opportunities for sustainable
local development.

IL PROGETTO
ENIGMA
Il progetto ENIGMA “Enlightenment and Innovation,
ensured through pre-commercial procurement in cities”,
coordinato dalla Città di Eindhoven nell’ambito del 7°
Programma Quadro (7PQ), promuove l’introduzione
della procedura degli appalti pre-commerciali (PCP)
per lo sviluppo di investimenti pubblici nell’ambito
dell’illuminazione pubblica, con l’obiettivo di sviluppare
un legame strategico tra open innovation, politiche
pubbliche a sostegno dell’innovazione e dell’efficienza
energetica e sperimentazione di nuovi prodotti e
servizi. Attraverso il progetto ENIGMA le 5 città partner:
Eindhoven, Bassano del Grappa, Stavanger, Malmö
ed Espoo, hanno avviato un processo di appalto precommerciale congiunto che porterà allo sviluppo di
soluzioni innovative e miglioramenti radicali per la
sicurezza urbana e l’efficienza energetica nel contesto
di impianti di illuminazione pubblica, utilizzando
applicazioni ICT di nuova generazione, che saranno
sperimentate nelle 5 aree pilota individuate dalle città.
Il Comune di Bassano del Grappa e le altre città pilota
lanceranno un appalto PCP Europeo per attività di
Ricerca&Sviluppo e l’istallazione di sistemi pilota.
Nella loro ricerca per un sistema di illuminazione
omnicomprensivo le 5 città invitano le aziende, i
professionisti e tutti i soggetti interessati (in Europa)
a fornire le loro migliori idee e a prendere parte alla
consultazione di mercato e al futuro processo di
appalto pre-commerciale.
THE PROJECT
ENIGMA
The ENIGMA project “Enlightenment and Innovation,
ensured through pre- commercial procurement in
cities “, coordinated by the City of Eindhoven under
the 7th Framework Programme (FP7), promotes the
introduction of the procedure of pre-commercial
procurement (PCP) for the development of public
investments in the field of public lighting, with the aim
of developing a strategic link between open innovation,
public policies in support of innovation and energy
efficiency, and testing of new products and services.
Through the ENIGMA , the 5 partner cities Eindhoven,
Bassano del Grappa, Stavanger, Malmö and Espoo,
have initiated a process of joint pre-commercial
procurement that will lead to the development of
innovative solutions and radical improvements to the
urban safety and energy efficiency in the context of
public lighting installations, using ICT applications of
the new generation, which will be tested in five cities’
pilot areas.
The Municipality of Bassano del Grappa, together with
other pilot cities, are going to launch an European
PCP call for proposals for research and development,
and pilot installations. In their search for an allencompassing public lighting system, the 5 cities invite
businesses and R&D providers across Europe to put
forward their best ideas and to compete in the precommercial procurement process.

Il progetto SSL-erate mira ad accelerare l’adozione
dell’illuminazione allo stato solido (Solid State Lighting,
SSL) in Europa, sostenendo l’open innovation e
fornendo informazioni convalidate a tutte le parti
interessate. I partner del progetto raccolgono e
condividono le conoscenze più recenti sull’incremento
del green business basato sullo stato solido e sulla
promozione della salute e del benessere tramite la
tecnologia LED. Alla condivisione di queste conoscenze
si accompagneranno opportunità di mercato in diversi
cluster dell’illuminazione europei: Cluster Lumière,
Cluster d’Il-Luminació de Catalunya, The Danish
Lighting Innovation Network, Groen Licht Vlaanderen e
Luce in Veneto. Alcune città partecipano inoltre come
realtà pilota: Eindhoven (Paesi Bassi), Malmö (Svezia),
Amburgo (Germania), Stavanger (Norvegia) e Bassano
del Grappa.
L’obiettivo di SSL-erate è promuovere la collaborazione
e l’innovazione tra le aziende e tutti i portatori di
interesse, per consentire di tradurre le conoscenze del
mercato in opportunità di business e innovazione.
The SSL-erate project aims to accelerate the uptake
of high-quality Solid State Lighting (SSL) technology
in Europe by supporting open innovation and bringing
validated information to all relevant stakeholders.
The project partners collect and share state-of-the
art knowledge on generating green business growth
based on SSL and on promoting health and wellbeing
via SSL. This knowledge will be combined with market
opportunities in various European Lighting Clusters:
Cluster Lumière, Cluster d’Il-Luminació de Catalunya,
the Danish Lighting Innovation Network, Groen Licht
Vlaanderen and Luce in Veneto. In addition, a number
of cities participate as lead customers: Eindhoven,
Malmö, Hamburg, Stavanger and Bassano del Grappa.
The goal of SSL-erate is to help your organization to
collaborate and innovate, so that you can translate
market insights and business opportunities into
innovations.
