Read this manual and all the electrical data in attached
CD-ROM carefully before installation, operation,
maintenance, or inspection of the FS100.
In this manual, the Notes for Safe Operation are classified
as “WARNING”, “CAUTION”, “MANDATORY”, or
“PROHIBITED”.
Note, however, this instruction manual does not sufficiently
provide all the safety precautions. For your safety, be sure
to ensure safety measures or management before the
operation.

The MOTOMAN is the YASKAWA industrial robot product.
The MOTOMAN usually consists of the manipulator, the
FS100 controller, manipulator cables, the FS100 programming pendant (optional), and the FS100 programming pendant dummy connector (optional).

WARNING
Robots generally have requirements which are different from
other manufacturing equipment, such as larger working
areas, high-speed operation, rapid arm movements, etc.,
which can pose safety hazards.
Read and understand the instruction manuals and related
documents, and observe all precautions in order to avoid the
risk of injury to personnel and damage to equipment.
It is the user’s responsibility to ensure that all local, state,
and national codes, regulations rules, or laws relating to
safety and safe operating conditions are met and followed.
• The label described below is attached to the manipulator.

1.4 Personnel Safety
• Never lean on FS100 or other controllers, and avoid

The entire manipulator’s operating range is potentially dangerous.
All personnel working with the MOTOMAN (safety administration, installation, operation, and maintenance personnel)
must always be prepared and “Safety First” minded, to
ensure the safety of all personnel.

Always wear protective safety equipment such as helmets,

1.5.1.2 Transportation of the FS100
1.5.1 Transporting
CAUTION
• Lift, move, or install the FS100 by two or more persons.
CAUTION
– Approx. mass of FS100: 20 kg per unit
• Use a platform truck to carry the FS100.
• Operation of the crane, sling, or forklift should only be
performed by authorized personnel.
– Avoid jarring, dropping, or hitting the FS100 during
handling.
Failure to observe this caution may result in personal injury
or equipment damage.
Failure to observe these cautions may cause the FS100 to
fall down, which may result in personal injury or equipment
damage.
• Avoid jarring, dropping, or hitting the controller during
handling.
Excessive vibration or impacting the FS100 may adversly
affect the performance of the FS100.
The mass of the FS100 is indicated on the nameplate. The
location and content of the nameplate is shown below.
Unpack and move the FS100 by two or more persons.
Use a lifter to lift the FS100 up to or put it down from the
rack.
Also, use a platform truck to carry the FS100.
If the FS100 must be manually carried, lifted up, or put
down, two persons must hold the bottom of the FS100 firmly.
1.5.1.1 Transportation of the Manipulator
CAUTION
• As a rule, the manipulator should be lifted by a crane.
– Make sure to fix the manipulator with the shipping
bolts and brackets, and lift it in the posture as shown
in each manipulator’s instruction manual.
– Use wire ropes threaded through the shipping bolts
and brackets or the attached eyebolts to lift up the
manipulator.
– Be sure to use wire that is strong enough to handle
the weight of the manipulator
Failure to observe this caution may cause the manipulator
to fall, which may result in personal injury or equipment
damage.
1.5.2 Installation
Refer to the MOTOMAN- Instructions manual and
FS100 Instructions for details on installation and wiring.
When planning installation, take appropriate measures to
ensure safety. Observe the following when installing the
manipulator:
• If storing the manipulator temporarily before installation,
make sure to place it on a stable and flat surface, and
take precautions to prevent unauthorized personnel from
touching it.
Failure to observe this caution may cause the manipulator
to fall, which may result in personal injury or equipment
damage.
To insure safety, be sure to install the safeguarding. It prevents unforeseen accidents with personnel and damage to equipment. The following
is quoted for your information and guidance.

Responsibility for Safeguarding

The user of a manipulator or robot system shall
ensure that the safeguarding is provided and
used in accordance with Sections 6, 7, and 8 of
this standard. The means and degree of safeguarding, including any redundancies, shall correspond directly to the type and level of hazard
presented by the robot system consistent with
the robot application. Safeguarding may include
but not be limited to safeguarding devices, barriers, interlock barriers, perimeter guarding,
awareness barriers, and awareness signals.

Confirm that the area is large enough so that the fully
extended manipulator arm with tool will not reach a side
wall, safeguarding, or the controller.

equipment.

• Install a safeguarding around the manipulator to prevent
any accidental contact with the manipulator while the
power is on.
• Equipped with a safety interlock. Be sure the interlock
operates correctly before use.
• Perform grounding in accordance with all applicable
electrical codes.
Failure to observe this warning may result in fire or electric

• Do not start the manipulator or even turn ON the power
before it is firmly anchored.
• To ensure safety, make sure to operate the controller
from a location where the manipulator is easily visible.
The manipulator may overturn and cause injury or damage.
Operation by unauthorized personnel may result in

• When mounting the manipulator on the ceiling or wall, the
base section must have sufficient strength and rigidity to
support the mass of the manipulator. Also, it is
necessary to consider countermeasures to prevent the
manipulator from falling.
• Install the FS100 outside the safeguarding of the
manipulator’s safety enclosure.

CAUTION
• The length of the fixing screws for the FS100 must be
equal to or shorter than the thickness of the metal fitting
+ 5 mm.
• Be familiar with the connection diagram before wiring the
FS100, and perform the wiring in accordance with the
connection diagram.
If the length exceeds the above, the components inside the
FS100 may be damaged.
Failure to observe this caution may result in personal injury
or equipment damage due to miswiring or unexpected
movement of the manipulator.
– Required screw size: M5
(length: equal to or shorter than
the thickness of the metal fitting

• Take precautions when wiring and piping between the
FS100, manipulator, and peripheral equipment. Run the
piping, wiring, or cables through a pit or use a protective
cover, so that they are not stepped on by personnel or
run over by the forklift.
– Required screw material: mild steel or higher-strength
material
• Fix all the 8 fixing points to install the FS100.
Operators and other
personnel may stumble on exposed wiring
or piping. Cable damage may cause unexpected manipulator
motion resulting in
personal injury or
equipment damage.
• The FS100 is free-standing type. Avoid jarring, dropping,
or hitting the FS100 when installing it.
Failure to observe these cautions may result in personal
injury or equipment damage.
• The FS100 is not dust-proof, drip-proof, or explosionproof. Be sure to use it in the environment free from
explosive gas, combustible gas, corrosive gas,
condensation, and dust.

1.5.3 Work Area Safety
• Do not get on top of the FS100.
Carelessness contributes to serious accidents in the work
area. To ensure safety, enforce the following precautions:

• After installation, fix the FS100 on the floor or base
depending on its way of installation by using the screws
shown below.
WARNING
• Install a safeguarding around the manipulator to prevent
any accidental contact with the manipulator while the
power is ON.
Post a warning sign stating “Off-limits During Operation”
at the entrance of the enclosure. The gate of the
safeguarding must be equipped with a safety interlock.
Be sure the interlock operates correctly before use.
Failure to observe this caution may cause the FS100 to fall,
which may result in personal injury or equipment damage.

CAUTION
• Store tools and similar equipment in proper locations
outside of the enclosure.
Tools and loose equipment should not be left on the floor
around the manipulator, FS100, or welding fixture, etc., as
injury or damage to equipment can occur if the manipulator
comes in contact with objects or equipment left in the work
area.
• Up to 2 units of the FS100 can be stacked together on
the flat floor.
Be sure to securely fix the upper and lower FS100s
together by using the screws on the left and right sides so
that the FS100s do not move apart.
Failure to observe this caution may cause the FS100 to
drop or fall, which may result in personal injury or
equipment damage.

1.5.4 Operation Safety
WARNING
MANDATORY
• Before operating the manipulator, check that the SERVO
ON lamp on the programming pendant turns OFF when
the emergency stop button on the programming pendant
or on the external control device, etc. is pressed.
• Persons operating or inspecting the manipulator should
be trained as required by applicable laws and company
policies.
Personal injury or equipment damage may result if the
manipulator cannot be stopped in case of emergency.
– Refer to chapter 1.2 “Special Training” at page 2.
• Make sure to incorporate the robot system into the user’s
system which has lockout/tagout function.
That is to say, supply one or more devices to turn OFF
the power supply of the manipulator, servo track, and
controller, and install them outside the enclosure in which
the manipulator and servo track are installed. The
devices must be able to be locked out and tagged out.

• In the case of not using the programming pendant, be
sure to supply the emergency stop button on the
equipment. Then before operating the manipulator,
check to be sure that the servo power is turned OFF by
pressing the emergency stop button.
Connect the external emergency stop button to the 5-6
pin and 16-17 pin of the robot system signal connector
(CN2).
Turning the power ON improperly during work may result in
electric shock or personal injury due to unexpected
movement of the manipulator.
WARNING
• Upon shipment of the FS100, this signal is connected by
a jumper cable in the dummy connector. To use the
signal, make sure to supply a new connector, and then
input it.
• Never exceed the rated capacity of the manipulator
described in the specifications section of the manipulator
manual.
If the signal is input with the jumper cable connected, it
does not function, which may result in personal injury or
equipment damage.
Failure to observe this warning may result in personal injury
or equipment damage.
• Once the emergency stop button is released, clear the
cell of all items which could interfere with the operation of
the manipulator. Then turn the servo power ON.
• Teach jobs from outside the manipulator’s work area
whenever possible.
• Observe the following precautions when performing
teaching operations within the manipulator’s operating
range:
Injury may result from unintentional or unexpected
manipulator motion.
– Be sure to use a lockout device to the safeguarding
when going inside. Also, display the sign that the
operation is being performed inside the safeguarding
and make sure no one closes the safeguarding.

– View the manipulator from the front whenever
possible.
– Always follow the predetermined operating
procedure.
– Keep in mind the emergency response measures
against the manipulator’s unexpected motion toward
you.
– Ensure that you have a safe place to retreat in case of
emergency.
Improper or unintentional manipulator operation may result
in injury.

WARNING
MANDATORY
• Confirm that no person is present in the manipulator’s
operating range and that you are in a safe location
before:
• Make sure to incorporate the robot system into the
user’s system which has lockout/tagout function.
That is to say, supply one or more devices to turn OFF
the power supply of the manipulator, servo track, and
controller, and install them outside the enclosure in
which the manipulator and servo track are installed.
The devices must be able to be locked out and tagged
out.
– Turning ON the FS100 power.
– Moving the manipulator with the programming
pendant.
– Running the system in the check mode.
– Performing automatic operations.
Injury may result if anyone enters the manipulator’s
operating range during operation. Always press the
emergency stop button immediately if there is a problem.
The emergency stop button is located on the top right of the
programming pendant.
Turning the power ON improperly during work may result
in electric shock or personal injury due to unexpected
movement of the manipulator.

• Do not touch any board inside the controller for five
minutes after turning OFF the power supply.
Programming Pendant
Capacitors inside the controller store electricity after power
is turned OFF. Exercise caution whenever handling circuit
boards. Failure to observe this warning may result in injury
or electric shock.
• In the case of not using the programming pendant, be
sure to supply the emergency stop button on the
equipment. Then before operating the manipulator,
check to be sure that the servo power is turned OFF by
pressing the emergency stop button.
Connect the external emergency stop button to the 5-6
pin and 16-17 pin of the robot system signal connector
(CN2).
• Power cannot be turned ON unless the door is closed.
Interlocks prevent power from being turned ON.
Failure to observe this warning may result in fire or electric
shock.
• Upon shipment of the FS100, this signal is connected by
a jumper cable in the dummy connector. To use the
signal, make sure to supply a new connector, and then
input it.
• Any occurrence during wiring while the FS100 is in the
emergency stop mode is the user’s responsibility. Do an
operation check once the wiring is completed.
Failure to observe this warning may result in personal injury
or mechanical failure.
If the signal is input with the jumper cable connected, it
does not function, which may result in personal injury or
equipment damage.
CAUTION
CAUTION
• Wiring must be performed only by authorized personnel.
Incorrect wiring may result in fire or electric shock.
• Perform the following inspection procedures prior to
conducting manipulator teaching. If a problem is found,
correct it and implement all other necessary measures
immediately.
• Perform wiring in accordance with the rated capacity as
specified in the Instructions.
Incorrect wiring may result in fire or mechanical failure.
– Check for problems in manipulator movement.
• Do not handle the circuit board directly by hand.
– Check for damage to insulation and sheathing of
external wires.
The IC board may malfunction due to electrostatics.
• Always return the programming pendant to its hook on
the FS100 cabinet after use.
If the programming pendant is inadvertently left on the
manipulator, on a fixture, or on the floor, the manipulator or
a tool may collide with the programming pendant during
manipulator movement, which may result in personal injury
or equipment damage.

1.5.5.1 Connecting the Primary Power Supply

CAUTION
• Never modify the manipulator or FS100.
• Make sure to use the supplied connector for the primary
power supply connection.
Failure to observe this may result in personal injury or
equipment damage due to fire, power failure, or operation
error.
• Tighten the cable clamp to prevent the cable from
breaking.
Failure to observe these cautions may result in electric
shock or equipment failure.
NOTE
CAUTION
Do not connect the ground wire with the wires
for the electric power source, the welder, etc.
• When disposing of the MOTOMAN, follow the applicable
national or local laws and regulations.
If using metallic ducts, metallic conduits, or
cable trays for cabling, perform grounding in
accordance with all relevant governmental regulations.
• Anchor the manipulator well, even when temporarily
storing it before disposal.
Failure to observe this caution may result in injury due to
the manipulator falling down.

WARNING
• Confirm that nobody is present in the P-point maximum
envelope of the manipulator when turning on FS100
power supply.
Failure to observe this caution could result in injury caused
by accidental contact with the manipulator.
Push the emergency stop button immediately if any
problems occur.
The emergency stop button is located in the upper left of
the door on the FS100 and on the right side of the
programming pendant.
NOTE
Be sure to remove all items from the area
before moving the manipulator.
Refer to the INSTRUCTION MANUAL for the
appropriate position of the fixture.
1.6 Notes for Moving and
Transferring the MOTOMAN
When moving or transferring the Motoman, observe the following safety precautions:
CAUTION
• Attach the instructions to the controller cabinet so that all
users have access to necessary manuals. See
chapter 1.3 “Motoman Manual List” at page 3 for a
complete list of manuals.
If any manual is missing, contact your Yaskawa
representative.
• If the warning labels on the manipulator and FS100 are
illegible, clean the labels so that they can be read clearly.
Note that some local laws may prohibit equipment
operation if safety labels are not in place.
Contact your Yaskawa representative if you require new
warning labels.
• When the MOTOMAN is transferred, it is recommended
to check with Yaskawa Engineering Co. which is listed on
the back cover of this manual.
Incorrect installation or wiring may result in personal injury
or equipment damage.

メイン電源の投⼊

• ロボットシステムはロックアウト / タグアウト機能を持
つお客様のシステムに組込んでください。
すなわち、マニピュレータ，⾛⾏軸，FS100 へのパ
ワーの供給を遮断する器具を準備していただき、マニ
ピュレータや⾛⾏軸が据え付けられるエンクロージャの
外に設置していただくとともにその遮断器具はロックア
ウト / タグアウトできるものをご使用ください。
作業中の不用意な通電は、感電やマニピュレータの不意
な動きにつながる可能性があり、けがのおそれがありま
す。
危険
• FS100 の電源を ON する場合には、マ二ピュレータの
可動範囲内に人がいないことを確認し、しかも安全な領
域から操作してください。
不用意にマニピュレータの可動範囲に⼊ると、マニピュ
レータとの接触によるけがのおそれがあります。なお、
異常時には直ちに非常停止ボタンを押してください。
非常停止ボタンは、FS100 プログラミングペンダントの右
側にあります。
マニピュレータを動かす前に、マニピュレータ
に付いている固定治具が外されているかもう一
度確認してください。
危険
固定治具の位置はマニピュレータ取扱説明書を
参照してください。
• 接地配線を必ず⾏ってください。
火災、感電のおそれがあります。
• 配線作業は、必ず電源を切りタグアウト（「通電禁止」
表示など）してから⾏ってください。

1.6 移設、譲渡、売却時の注意事項
MOTOMAN を移設、譲渡、保守、売却する場合は、安全
上、特に次の事項を厳守してください。
注意
• 盤内部には、電源遮断後 5 分間触れないでください。
コンデンサに電圧が残存しているので感電、けがのおそ
れがあります。
• 通電状態では必ずフロントパネル，上板を閉めてくださ
い。
火災、感電のおそれがあります。
• 非常停止回路の配線をする場合、その責任はご使用者に
あります。
• 配線後必ず動作チェックをしてください。
けが、故障のおそれがあります。
• MOTOMAN を移設、譲渡、売却する場合は、必ず取扱
説明書を添付し、最終的に本製品をお使いになる方に確
実に届けられるようにしてください。
MOTOMAN に添付する取扱説明書一覧は、
「1.3 “MOTOMAN の取扱説明書一覧 ” 頁 3」をご覧くださ
い。取扱説明書を紛失した場合は（株）安川電機の各営
業所へお問い合わせください。
• マニピュレータと FS100 に貼り付けている “ 警告ラベル
” が汚れている場合は、清掃してください。“ 警告ラベ
ル ” がはがれている場合は、最初に貼られていた位置に
正しく貼り付けてください。
警告ラベルは、取扱説明書裏表紙に記載の（株）安川電
機の各営業所へご請求ください。
注意
• 配線は認定された作業者または有資格者により⾏ってく
ださい。
火災、感電のおそれがあります。
• 定格にあった電源に接続してください。
火災、故障のおそれがあります。
• 基板は、直接指で触れないでください。
• MOTOMAN の移設を⾏った場合は、取説裏表紙記載の
安川エンジニアリング㈱による点検を⾏うことをおすす
めします。
機器の取付けミス、誤配線によるけがや機器破損のおそ

1.7 MOTOMAN の廃棄時の注意事項
静電気により IC が故障するおそれがあります。
1.5.5.1 一次側電源の接続
禁止
• マニピュレータ及び FS100 の改造はしないでください。
火災、故障、誤動作によるけがや機器破損のおそれがあ
ります。
注意
• 一次電源の接続は必ず付属のコネクタを使用してくださ
い。
• ケーブルが断線しないようにケーブルクランプは確実に
締付けてください。
感電・故障の原因となる恐れがあります。
ほかの電⼒、動⼒、溶接機器などの接地線や接
地極との共用は絶対に避けてください。
注意
• MOTOMAN は一般産業廃棄物として処理してください。
• 廃棄物として仮置きする場合も転倒防止などの処置をマ
ニピュレータに⾏ってください。
マニピュレータの転倒によるけがのおそれがあります。
ケーブルの敷設に⾦属ダクト、⾦属管、配線柵
を使用する場合は、電気設備技術基準に基づい
て接地を⾏ってください。

仕様範囲外での使用は、けがや機器破損のおそれがあり

• 教示作業は原則的にマニピュレータの可動範囲外で⾏っ
てください。
• やむを得ずマニピュレータの可動範囲内で教示する場合
には、次の事項を守ってください。
– 安全柵の内側に⼊るときは、必ず安全柵をロックア
ウトしてください。また、教示者は、安全柵内で操
作中であることを表示し、他の人が安全柵を閉じな
いよう注意してください。
– マニピュレータを常に正面方向から⾒るようにして
ください。
危険
• 次の作業を⾏う場合には、マニピュレータの可動範囲内
に人がいないことを確認してください。
– FS100 の主電源を ON するとき。
– プログラミングペンダントでマニピュレータを動か
すとき。
– チェック運転のとき。

て、プログラミングペンダントの「サーボオン」のラン
プが消灯することを確認してください。
緊急時に、マニピュレータを停止できないと、けがや機
器破損のおそれがあります。

側に非常停止ボタンを準備して、マニピュレータを動作
させる前に非常停止ボタンを押して、サーボ電源が
OFF されることを確認してください。
外部非常停止ボタンは、ロボット専用信号コネクタ
（CN2）の 5-6 ピン及び 16-17 ピンに接続してください。
• ⼯場出荷時は、ダミーコネクタにてジャンパ線で接続さ
れていますので、使用する際は必ず新規のコネクタを準

• FS100 は設置後、側面下部のねじを使って床面または架
台などに固定してください。
FS100 の転倒によるけがや機器破損のおそれがあります。
作業現場の安全
作業現場の不備は、重大災害を引き起こすおそれがありま
す。
安全を確保するためにも、次の事項について⼗分な管理と
対策を実施してください。
危険
• マニピュレータの周辺には安全柵を設け、通電中、容易
にマニピュレータに近寄れないようにしてください。
更に ” 運転中⽴⼊禁止 ” などの警告表示の掲示を安全柵
の出⼊口に⾏ってください。
また、安全柵の出⼊口にはインタロック機能を備えた扉
を設けてください。
運転開始前、インタロック機能が作動するか、必ず
チェックを⾏ってください。
マニピュレータと接触し重大災害をおこすおそれがあり
ます。
注意
• ⼯具類は必ずマニピュレータの可動範囲外の安全な場所
に保管してください。
• FS100 を段積みする場合は、平らな床面に 2 段までとし
てください。上下の FS100 は左右側面のねじを使って
ずれないように確実に固定してください。
FS100 の転倒や落下によるけがや機器破損のおそれがあり
ます。
不用意に⼯具類をジグ上に放置すると、マニピュレータ
との接触により、マニピュレータやジグの破損、⼯具が
飛んでくることによるけがのおそれがあります。

• FS100 の移動及び取付けは 2 人以上で⾏ってください。

• 玉掛け・クレーン作業・フォークリフトなどの運転作業
は、各国が定めるこれらの資格を有する人、または、そ
の会社で承認された人により⾏ってください。
けがや機器破損のおそれがあります。
• 過度の振動、衝撃が加わらないように注意してくださ
い。
精密機械ですので、性能に影響します。
1.5.1.1 マニピュレータの運搬
注意
• マニピュレータの運搬は原則としてクレーンを使用して
ください。
• FS100 を運搬する場合は台⾞を使用してください。
– FS100 は精密機械です。運搬時に過度の振動、衝撃
が加わらないように注意してください。
運搬中 FS100 の落下によるけがや機器破損のおそれがあ
ります。
FS100 の質量は銘板に表示しています。下図に銘板の貼付
位置を内容について示します。
FS100 の開梱および移動は 2 人以上で作業を⾏ってくださ
い。
FS100 をラックから上げ降ろす際はリフターを使用してく
ださい。また、FS100 を運搬する際は台⾞を使用してくだ
さい。
やむを得ず作業者が FS100 の運搬、上げ降ろしを⾏う場合
は FS100 底面を 2 人でしっかり持っておこなってくださ
い。
– 運搬前にはマニピュレータの質量を確認し質量に⾒
合ったワイヤを選定してください。
– 輸送用固定ジグまたは本体に付設のアイボルトを使
用して、2 本つりワイヤで吊り揚げます。
– 必ずマニピュレータを輪送用固定ジグで固定し、各
機種の “ マニピュレータ取扱説明書 ” に記載の出荷
姿勢でつり揚げてください。
運搬中マニピュレータの転倒によるけがや機器破損のお
それがあります。
• 据え付け前に、一時的にマニピュレータを置く場合は、
必ず安定した状態で置くようにしてください。
関係者以外は絶対に触れないように監視員を置くなどの
考慮をしてください。

据え付け及び配線の詳細は MOTOMAN- □□□マニピュ
レータ取扱説明書及び FS100 取扱説明書を参照してくださ
い。据え付け、配線、配管は、非常時を考慮し、“ はさまれ
ない ”、“ つまずかない ” ように、また安全運転のために、
MOTOMAN やジグなどが “ ⾒やすい ”、“ 操作しやすい ”
ように⾏ってください。
• マニピュレータの運搬姿勢
労働安全衛生規則第 150 条の中で、「産業用ロ
ボットの⾃動運転中は、マニピュレータなどに
接触する危険があるため、労働者が近づけない
ように、柵または囲いを設けるなどの措置を構
ずべきこと」が義務付けられています。

安全柵（JISB8433 に適合したもの）を設置して

生の為の特別教育を⾏わなければなりません。
– 産業用ロボットの操作（教示等）や修理保守（検査等）

講修了する事が必要です。

者及びその他の人の安全も守るなどの配慮を実⾏していた
だきますようお願いします。

• MOTOMAN が設置されている周囲では、危険な⾏為は
避けてください。
マニピュレータや周辺機器との接触によるけがのおそれ

• “ 火気厳禁 ”“ ⾼電圧 ”“ 危険 ”“ 関係者以外⽴⼊禁止 ” な
ど、⼯場内における安全確保のための標識の厳守事項は

• 安全を確保するために、MOTOMAN に関する取扱説明
書を⼗分お読みいただき、内容をご理解いただくことが
大切です。
MOTOMAN を安全にご使用いただくために下記の取扱
説明書が必要です。
• 危険防止のための手段として、服装は次の事項を厳守し
てください。
– 作業着を着用してください。
– MOTOMAN の操作時は手袋は着用しないでくださ
い。
– 下着、ワイシャツ、ネクタイは作業着からはみ出さ
せないでください。
– 特別大きなイヤリング、ペンダントなどは⾝に付け
ないでください。
– 安全靴、ヘルメットなどの安全保護具を必ず着用し
てください。
不適当な服装は、けがの要因となります。
• マニピュレータを無理に動かしたり、ぶらさがったり、
乗ったりしないでください。
けがや機器破損のおそれがあります。

• これらの取扱説明書がお手元に揃っていることを確認し
てください。
万一、揃っていない場合は必ず担当営業または取扱説明
書の裏表紙に記載の（株）安川電機にご連絡ください。
• 不用意に FS100 のスイッチやプログラミングペンダン
トのスイッチ、ボタン類を押さないでください。
マニピュレータが予期せぬ動きをし、けがや機器破損の
おそれがあります。

1 安全について
1.1 安全確保のために
 警告ラベルの説明
マニピュレータと FS100 には次のような警告ラベルを貼っ
ています。警告ラベルの記載事項を厳守してください。

危険
• マニピュレータには下記のラベルを貼っています。
記載事項は必ず厳守してください。
厳守しない場合は重大な災害を起こすおそれがあります。
貼ってある場所については、マニピュレータ取扱説明書
を参照してください。
一般にロボットは、据え付け面積に比べて可動範囲の広さ、
⾼速、⾼出⼒のアームの動き、多様で⾃律的な動作など、
ほかの機械類とは違った優れた特⻑があり、それだけに一
般の機械にない危険をともないます。安全を確保するため
に、このマニピュレータの『取扱説明書』などをご理解の
うえ使用してください。
また、次に示すように国、市などが制定した法令及び安全、
衛生に関する規則などを順守してください。
強制
• ロボットの教示作業及び保全作業は、
– 労働安全衛生法
– 労働安全衛生法施⾏令
– 労働安全衛生規則
その他の関連法規は
– Gewerbeordnung 商工業法（ドイツ）
記載事項は必ず厳守してください。
厳守しない場合は重大な災害を起こすおそれがあります。
– 職業安全衛生法（米国）
• FS100 には下記のラベルを貼っています。
– 労働衛生安全法等（英国）
– EC 機械指令 98/37/EC
を基準にしてください。
• 事業者（ユーザー）は、法規などに従い安全管理のため
の具体的指針に基づいた「安全作業規定」を作成し、
これを順守してください。
• ロボットの安全を確保するため、
– 産業用マニピュレーティング・ロボット - 安全性
（ISO10218）
– 産業用マニピュレーティング・ロボット - 安全性
（日本国内のみ）（JIS B 8433）
を順守してください。
• ロボットの専任作業者及び安全管理者を決めたり、安全
教育を徹底するなどの「安全管理体制」を整えてくださ
い。
• ロボットの教示作業及び保全作業は、労働安全衛生法
（日本国内のみ）で定められた “ 危険業務 ” に該当しま
す。これらに従事する方々は、安全のため当社の「特別
教育」を受講してください。

 本書でよく使用する用語についての定義
「MOTOMAN」は安川電機産業用ロボットの商品名です。
MOTOMAN はロボット本体「マニピュレータ」とロボット
制御盤本体「FS100」と「給電ケーブル」及び「FS100 プロ
グラミングペンダント（オプション）」「FS100 プログラミ
ングペンダントダミーコネクタ（オプション）から構成さ
れています。
本書では、これらの機器を以下のように表記します。

• 本書は、FS100 マニピュレータ及び、FS100 制御盤の
運搬 , 設置時の安全について説明しています。
ご使用（据え付け、運転、保守点検など）の前に、必ず
本書と付属 CD-ROM に収録されています取扱説明書類及
びその他の付属書類をすべて熟読し、機器の知識、安全
の知識そして注意事項のすべてについても習熟してから、
正しくご使用ください。
本書は、安全注意事項のランクを「危険」
、「注意」
、「強
制」、「禁止」に区分して掲載していますので、必ず守っ
てください。
又、本書は安全について全ての内容を提供するものでは
ありません。「安全」については、⼗分な処置、管理の上
作業してください。

注意
• 説明書に掲載している図解は、細部を説明するために、
カバーまたは安全のための遮へい物を取り外した状態
で描かれている場合があります。この製品を運転する
ときは、必ず規定どおりのカバーや遮へい物を元通り
に戻し、説明書に従って運転してください。
取扱いを誤った場合に、危険な状況が起こ
りえて、中程度の傷害や軽傷を受ける可能
性が想定される場合、及び物的傷害のみの
発生が想定される場合。
注意
取扱いを誤った場合に、危険な状況が起こ
りえて、死亡または重傷を受ける可能性が
想定される場合。

禁止
• 説明書は、製品の改良や仕様変更、及び説明書⾃⾝の使
いやすさの向上のために適宜変更されることがありま
す。この変更は改訂版として表紙右下の資料番号の更
新によって⾏われます。
強制
• 説明書に掲載している図及び写真は、代表事例であり、
お届けした製品と異なる場合があります。
• 損傷や紛失などにより、説明書を注文される場合は、当
社代理店または説明書の裏表紙に記載している最寄り
の営業所に表紙の資料番号を連絡してください。
必ずしなければならないこと。
してはいけないこと。
なお、「注意」に記載した事項でも、状況によっては重大な
結果に結びつく可能性があります。いずれも重要な内容を
記載していますので、必ず守ってください。
「危険」と「注意」には該当しませんが、ユー
ザーに必ず守っていただきたい事項を、関連す
る個所に併記しています。
• お客様による製品の改造は、当社の保証範囲外ですので
