ヤ マ ハ の 歩 み THE CHR ONOLOGY OF Y AMAHA 「ヤマハ」の 由 来 ＿ 1 台 のオルガンとの出会いから、 すべてははじまりました。21世紀 を迎え、いまや 3 世紀 を生きるヤマハ 株式会 社 は、 1987（昭和 62 ）年 10月 1日、その 前身「日本 楽器 製造株式会社 」から現 在 の 社名に変更しました。それは、創業者 山葉寅楠（1851（ 嘉永 4 ）年 4月20日生、1916（大正 5 ）年 8 月 8 日没 ） が、静岡県浜松市で創業を開始してからちょうど 100 年目の年でもありました。当 社の商標「YAMAHA」はこの創業者の姓に由来します。山葉寅楠は、 1887 年に浜松尋常小学校の壊れたオルガンの修理に成功したことからオルガン製作を決意し、1888（明治 21）年、浜松に合資会社山葉風琴製造所を設立しました。 1897（明治 30）年 10月12日には資本 金 10 万円で日本楽器製造株式会社を設立し、初代社長に就任しました。 The origin of the name "Yamaha"- Everything began with a broken organ in a school. Entering the 21st century, we are proud to reflect that this is our third century. On October 1, 1987 we changed our name from "Nippon Gakki Co., Ltd." to "Yamaha Corporation." This marked 100 years since our founder, Torakusu Yamaha ( April 20, 1851 - August 8, 1916) started his company in Hamamatsu City, Shizuoka Prefecture. Our brand name "Yamaha" comes from this founder. In 1887 Torakusu Yamaha repaired the reed organ of the Hamamatsu Jinjou Elementary School and this success encouraged him to try his hand at making organs. The following year, Torakusu Yamaha established the Yamaha Organ Works as a limited partnership.
