Tartans Hockey Club 2016 Registrations
Tartans Hockey Club is gearing up for the 2016 season and we are now able to provide the following
information.
The club will hold a registration day on Sunday 7 February from 11.30am – 1.30pm at Jenola.
Uniform items will be available for purchase on that day. We will be also running a Try Hockey
program at the same time and we encourage everyone to bring along a friend to try hockey.
Electronic registration will also be accepted for the 2016 season and is due by Friday 5 February.
Junior Competition
The club will again be looking to enter teams in all grades of the SSHA local junior competition.
The local competition will commence on 18 March, with grand finals being played on the weekend
of 27 August.
The first and second grade competition will be run on Friday nights at Moorebank and on Sunday
mornings at Sylvania on a home and away basis. Based on feedback from previous seasons, Tartans
will nominate Sunday morning at Sylvania as our preferred home location.
Training for first and second grade juniors will be on the synthetic field at Sylvania on Monday
afternoons between 4pm and 6pm (only a 1 hour session, but the actual session time will need to be
confirmed).
The younger grades will all play their games at Jenola on Saturdays. Training for younger teams will
be either at Jenola, or on the grass field at Sylvania. Times and dates will be confirmed once teams
have been formed and coaches allocated.
For the 2016 season, the club will be selecting a first grade junior team. Trials for this team will be
held on Sunday 21 February from 5.00pm – 6.30pm at Sylvania. Expressions of interest should be
noted on your registration form.
It is hoped that all junior teams will be in a position to commence training by Monday 29 February.
Senior Competition
The Senior 1 team will again be entered in the SEHA competition with other senior teams most likely
playing in the competition run by Moorebank Hockey Club.
Fees
Hockey fees are made up of 3 components – the Hockey NSW fee, the Sydney South Hockey
Association player fee and Club fees.
Club fees include team registration fees with the relevant competition, umpire fees and turf game
and training fees (where required). The club has endeavoured to keep our club fees as low as we
can for the 2016 season.
The Association Fee and HNSW Fee must be paid online through the IMG system. Details on how to
make these payments will follow as soon as the system has been configured for the 2016 season.

Club fees may be paid by cash or cheque on 7 February at the registration day, or electronically to
the club bank account to Tartans HC, National Australia Bank BSB: 082-367; Account No: 209332858
[Description “family surname & grade” e.g.Tully Snr3 or Tully Jnr2]. Electronic payments should be
made on or before 5 February 2016.

Juniors also playing as a registered senior player will pay their full junior fee and will also be
asked to pay 30% of the relevant senior club fee.
What to do now
1.
If you are intending pay electronically, please make your payment of the club fee as set out
above and record your receipt number on your registration form. Do not pay the
Association and HNSW fees to Tartans HC.
2.
Print and complete the attached registration and indemnity form and return it either at the
registration day at Jenola on 7 February 2016, or return it by email to the registrar Janice
Tully at [email protected]
3.
We will give you instructions for payment of the Association fee and HNSW fee as soon as
the IMG system has been set up to take the payments. These payments must be made by
credit card. At this stage IMG does not offer any alternatives.
4.
Please contact us confidentially if you need help in paying your fees or require a payment
plan. If fees are not received by the Club on or before 1 March 2016 a late payment fee of
$30 for junior players (under 18) and $45 for senior players will apply.
Further Information
Please let us know if you are available to coach or manage a junior team for the 2016 season. We
are keen to see all our coaches and managers back from last year, but would love to see some new
faces too.
