Of National Certifications
The Wellness Council of America (WELCOA) is proud to announce the recipients
of the WELCOA Faculty designation, which acknowledges individual achievement
in national workplace wellness training. The WELCOA Faculty designation honors
some of the best-trained wellness professionals in the country—professionals
who have achieved certification in four or more of WELCOA’s results-oriented

Criteria For Achieving WELCOA Faculty Status
Each year, WELCOA offers professionals from its more than 5,000 member
organizations a variety of training opportunities—the most rigorous of which is
Well Workplace University. Specifically, Well Workplace University is comprised
of six core courses that are each six hours long, and cover the following topics:

The Importance Of The WELCOA Faculty Designation
WELCOA certifications are the cornerstone of the Wellness Council of America.
They provide the necessary training and credibility to enable worksite wellness
practitioners to better engage their employees in wellness programming. The
WELCOA Faculty designation credits those who strive to build effective, resultsoriented wellness programs that change lives and transform organizations.
The WELCOA Faculty have achieved the highest level of worksite wellness
training in the country and, as a result, this cadre is poised to effectively address
two of the most relevant challenges facing American business today: improving
employee health and containing escalating health care costs.

To maintain their designation, WELCOA Faculty must complete one additional certification every two years, and

The Seven Benchmarks – Intermediate/Advanced
WELCOA’s flagship training program is designed to provide basic training for building and
sustaining results-oriented worksite wellness programs. Using WELCOA’s patented Seven
Benchmarks model, practitioners learn how to successfully produce programs that improve
employee health and contain company health care costs.
In this intermediate/advanced version of the Seven Benchmarks, we will build off the basics
and then zero in on what America’s Healthiest companies do differently. With a more sophisticated emphasis on productivity, culture, and outcomes, this intermediate/advanced

Despite the very best efforts of the nation’s most talented worksite wellness practitioners, many health
promotion initiatives have failed to live up to their
potential. Interestingly, by linking worksite wellness programs to the company’s benefit plan design,
