Q: What is the 2015 Wellness Credit program?
A: Like last year, HHC would like to help you pay for your health care coverage. To qualify
this year you (and your spouse or qualified domestic partner if covered by HHC) will have to
take two simple steps:
1. Complete a confidential online health questionnaire, called the Compass health
assessment, at our new wellness partner Redbrick,
http://www.myredbrick.com/healthytogether
2. Visit your doctor for preventive care
Q: How much can I save?
A:
 Employee-only coverage: $250 as a wellness credit that will be divided into biweekly payments and reflected in your paycheck as a “wellness credit” if you
complete the Compass health assessment AND visit your doctor for preventive care
by March 31, 2015. NOTE: if you complete these requirements after March 31, 2015
your wellness credit will be prorated accordingly.
п‚· Employee + spouse (or qualified domestic partner) and/or children/family:
$500 as a wellness credit that will be divided into bi-weekly payments and reflected
in your paycheck as a wellness credit if BOTH you and your spouse/partner visit your
doctor for preventive care and complete the health assessment by March 31, 2015.
Your children are not included in the wellness credit program. NOTE: if both you and
your spouse/partner complete these requirements after March 31, 2015 your
wellness credit will start as soon as your requirements are processed and will not be
retroactive.
Q: Who has to do this?
A: The employee and spouse or qualified domestic partner, if the spouse or qualified
domestic partner is covered by an HHC health plan. While we encourage all family members
to have routine well-care visits, covered children are NOT required to complete the health
assessment or have a preventive care visit.
Q: What if I do not cover a spouse or qualified domestic partner, but cover my
children?
A: Employees who do not cover a spouse or qualified domestic partner but have family
members enrolled in an HHC health plan are eligible for the $500 credit. NOTE: In this case
ONLY the employee needs to complete the Compass health assessment and the preventive
care visit.
Preventive Care Visits
Q: What counts as preventive care?
A: Annual preventive exam (physical), well-woman visit with your ob/gyn, any follow-up
visit with your primary care doctor if your preventive care is up to date (examples: regular
visits for blood pressure monitoring or diabetes). Just sign a form attesting to your care and
you’re done.
1
Q: How will you know if I have had preventive care within the required time
period?
A: If you had a preventive care visit with your primary care doctor or ob/gyn between Jan.
1, 2014 and March 31, 2015 you don’t have to do a thing. While none of your confidential
medical information or results will be shared, Aetna will provide verification of your
preventive care visit (and that of your spouse/partner) directly to our new wellness partner,
RedBrick Health.
Q: What if I am up to date on preventive care and saw my primary care doctor for
a follow-up during the required time period but my information is not transmitted
to RedBrick?
A: If you saw your primary care doctor for follow-up care, but did not need a complete
physical, you can simply sign and submit a form confirming that you are up to date on your
preventive care.
All you have to do is sign a form attesting that you have had qualifying preventive care
during the required time period and you are up to date. The form is available to download
on your personal RedBrick Health website account,
http://www.myredbrick.com/healthytogether and can be submitted to RedBrick by e-mail,
fax or U.S. Mail.
Q: Where can I find the form?
A: The form is available to download on your personal RedBrick Health website account,
http://www.myredbrick.com/healthytogether and can be submitted to RedBrick by e-mail,
fax or U.S. Mail.
Q: What if I was not covered by an HHC plan last year, but would like to join this
year?
A: If you have already had the required preventive care, simply complete the Compass
health assessment and submit the form attesting that you have had qualifying preventive
care during the required time period. This form is available to download on your personal
RedBrick Health website account, http://www.myredbrick.com/healthytogether and can be
submitted to RedBrick as noted above.
Q: What if I have am not up to date on my preventive care?
A: Preventive care completed between Jan. 1, 2014 and March 31, 2015 qualifies for the full
wellness credit. If you have a primary care provider, but have not been in for a visit, we
encourage you to get reacquainted. If you do not have an established relationship,
Integrated Care Partners, Hartford Healthcare’s organization of providers committed to
delivering quality affordable care, is an excellent place to start. The members include 250
primary care providers. Hartford HealthCare Medical Group is an ICP member, as are many
independent doctors in private practice. When you call one of our partner practices for
an appointment, be sure to tell the scheduler that you are an HHC employee or
spouse in need of a preventive care visit.
2
Q: How do I get a timely appointment?
A: Integrated Care Partner providers and other Tier 1 primary care practices can be found
on HHC’s Aetna DocFind directory and on the HHC&Me Employee Service Center website.

A: You and your covered spouse or qualified domestic partner will receive credit if you had a
preventive care visit on or after Jan.1, 2014 and before March 31, 2015. If you complete

The Wellness Credit
Q: When will I see the wellness credit in my paycheck?
A: If you complete your requirements by Oct. 31, 2014, your wellness credit will be
reflected in your first paycheck of 2015. For individual coverage you can expect to see equal
credits of about $9.60 per pay period. For family coverage, you can expect equal credits of
about $19.20 per pay period. Requirements completed after Oct. 31, 2014 and before
March 31, 2015 will be processed as quickly as possible and the credit will be reflected in
your paycheck retroactively later in the year.
Q: What if I miss the March 31, 2015 deadline?
A: Prorated credit will be given if preventive care and Compass health assessments are
completed after March 31, 2015. Prorated credits will show up in your paycheck only after
both requirements are completed and processed. For example, if an employee with single
coverage completes the requirements on April 1, 2015, that person might see a $9.60 credit
on the paycheck starting in June and continuing for the rest of the year.
Q: How can I find out if I have completed the requirements to earn my wellness
credit?
A: You will be able to check your status of your credit at the RedBrick Health website,
http://www.myredbrick.com/healthytogether. Sign in or register, then click “Rewards.”
Preventive care completed from Jan. 1, 2014 to Aug. 31, 2014 will be reflected on the
RedBrick portal by November. If you visit the doctor after Sept. 1, 2014 you should allow up
to two months for the data to be uploaded before your confirmation is posted on the
RedBrick site.

Q: Why are we doing this?
A: Last year’s screening showed that HHC has an opportunity to help employees improve
their health. As we strive to be the region’s leading provider of high-quality, compassionate
and coordinated care we want to be sure that our employees have access to programs and
services that allow us to be as healthy as we can be. By asking employees to visit the
doctor for preventive care and complete a health assessment, it is possible that some of
those with identified health risks will be able to participate in programs and receive
treatment to help them feel better and live healthier lives.
Q: Why does HHC care about my health?
A: One of our core values is Integrity— we do the right thing. Helping you get and stay
healthy is the right thing to do. In addition, we are proud that our employees can set an
example for how excellent and supportive primary and preventive care and a focus on
health promotion can help people control or avoid many chronic conditions that can cause
so much suffering and unnecessarily inflate HHC’s and our nation’s health care costs.
Q: After I complete my preventive care visit and health assessment, how is
Hartford HealthCare going to help me to be healthier?
A: Having a preventive care visit and completing the online Compass health assessment
through RedBrick Health are the first steps toward better health. Once you have a better
understanding of your current health, you will receive personalized program
recommendations that will help you get and stay motivated on your journey. You will be
able to participate in wellness programs and other healthy activities to earn rewards and
incentives throughout the year. Watch for more information coming soon.
