Dear Parents and Friends,
Thursday 26th March 2015
This half term has whizzed by so quickly!
The children have been working really hard and have shown great focus in their lessons, this has been very
positive to observe. We have monitored the children’s work, and this too is demonstrating increasing levels of
expectation and challenge across the school- again which is very pleasing. Governors as well as senior members
of staff have been involved in a range of activities and these have also involved children sharing their view
points- the children are always incredibly honest and charming, but they also provide us with a very clear
understanding of how what we are doing as a school to continue improving, is actually impacting on them as
learners.
This week the children have all enjoyed an Easter treasure hunt and even more so, enjoyed their Easter treats!
Tomorrow we are at Church for our Easter service, and the children will bring home a planted sunflower seed.
We would like your child to care for this and grow a strong and healthy plant which can then be planted in your
garden. We would like to see how tall they grow and so hope that you will please take photographs and
measure them. Before the end of the summer term we will collect in the pictures and measurements to see
which is the tallest. We will send home more exact dates next term.
We also said our goodbyes this week to Mrs Hunnybun and Miss Wilson- we wish them well and thank them for
all of their hard work.
Have a great Easter break and we will look forward to seeing you on Monday 13th April!
Kind regards,
Peta Mather
