May 14, 2014 Marubeni Corporation Announcement of Acquisition of Shares for Construction Machinery Distributor in Turkey Marubeni Corporation (“Marubeni”) is pleased to announce the acquisition of 49% shares of TEMSA İŞ MAKİNALARI İMALAT PAZARLAMA VE SATİŞ A.Ş. (“TIM”), the sole distributor of Komatsu Construction Machinery in Turkey, from TEMSA GLOBAL SANAYİ VE TİCARET A.Ş. (“TG”). Marubeni has been exporting Komatsu construction machinery to Turkey, a country with a population of 75 million people and continuing economic development, and is paying strong attention to the high potentiality of the domestic construction machinery market. Marubeni had been in discussions with HACI ÖMER SABANCI HOLDİNG A.Ş. (“Sabancı”), the parent company of TG and one of the largest Turkish conglomerates, in order to further strengthen the sales and service activity of TIM, and the two parties have agreed to enter into a partnership with Sabancı to acquire the aforementioned shares.
