“Valbadia Jazz Festival” - 16° ediz. - è una rassegna itinerante ospite di molteplici strutture che offre l’opportunitá di conoscere in breve tempo la Val Badia, seguendo il
filo conduttore della musica. Ci si trova così in ristoranti, piazze, sale manifestazioni, rifugi,
hotel, pub e cocktail bar che diventano punti di riferimento degli amanti della musica e
della montagna. Hanno suonato per Val Badia Jazz, organizzato in collaborazione con Uniun
Musicala y Culturala Ladina dal 1999, musicisti e formazioni italiane ed internazionali. Il
concetto di Jazz Festival non è relegato solamente alla musica Jazz, è ormai divenuto un pretesto, come nei maggiori festival internazionali, per proporre “Musica” di vari generi. Una
rassegna in cui il cantautorato di qualità può convivere con la marchin’ band, il quartetto
jazz e tango, con il gruppo rock o country...

Das “Valbadia Jazz Festival” ist eine musikalische Wanderung durch das facettenreiche Gadertal. Die Strassen, Theater, Chalets und Plätze der Ortschaften werden in den
Tagen des Festivals mit anspruchsvollen Melodien verziert und auch die Bars und Hotels sind
Gastgeber für so manchen musikalischen Hochgenuss. Musik- und Bergliebhaber können
sich von den dargebotenen Live-Acts in malerischer Szenerie abwechselnd mitreissen und
bezaubern lassen. In den letzten 15 Jahren haben zahlreiche nationale und internazionale
Musikformationen das Festival bereichert. Der besondere Augenmerk der Veranstalter liegt
an einem reichhaltigen Sammelsurium verschiedener Musikeinflüsse. Nicht nur Jazzformationen kommen zum Zuge, sondern sie teilen sich die Bühne mit Songwritern, dem feurigen
Tango, anheimelnden Countryklängen und manchmal wird den Zuhörern auch der Marsch
geblasen. Somit wird das “Valbadia Jazz Festival” zu einem Ereignis, welches jedweiligen
Ohransprüchen gerecht wird.

The festival is a summer season of jazz, funk, blues & pop music held at various
venues in Val Badia, giving visitors a quick tour of the valley in time to the music. Restaurants, squares, halls, refuges, hotels, pubs and cocktail bars will become points of reference
for lovers of music and mountains. Val Badia Jazz has been organised in collaboration with
the Uniun Musicala y Culturala Ladina since 1999, and Italian and foreign musicians and
groups have played there. The concept of a Jazz Festival doesn’t just mean jazz, by now
that’s just a pretext, as in the major international festivals, for offering music of various
kinds. A show where top singer-songwriters perform cheek by jowl with marching bands, the

Das Repertoire ist weit und wild, manchmal überraschend, die Reise führt in die
ursprünglichen Gefilde des Jazz, das

die nach Petroleum riechenden Straßen
des Souls von Detroit. Zwischenzeitlich
wird auch dem Pop zugezwinkert, auf
eine sehr persönliche und eigentümliche Art, es gibt Platz für Improvisation
und Interaktion. Kein Konzert wie jedes
andere, Prädikat wertvoll.

Aleksey Asenov (Russe, Bulgaria) è sicuramente tra i più
grandi fisarmonicisti a livello internazionale. È vincitore del primo premio
di virtuosità al concorso internazionale di Fisarmonica a Sofia nel 1998.
In patria ha suonato con i musicisti di
musica tradizionale rom e bulgara più
famosi come Ivo Papasov, Philip Kutev o Gypsy Aver. Ha una conoscenza
profonda del repertorio e dei rispettivi
stili delle varie regioni balcaniche
(Bulgaria, Romania, Montenegro, Serbia, Grecia…). Da non perdere!

The Bulgarian Aleksey
Asenov is the creator of various original compositions as Aserbeischansko
and Dunavski Valzer-Ruse and one of
the greatest Accordion masters and
musicians of Bulgaria. He won the first
prize of virtuosity at the international
accordion festival in Sofia back in
1998. He played amongst others with
Ivo Papasov, Philip Kutev and Gipsy
Aver, musicians with traditional rom
and bulgarian background. He has a
profound knowledge of the balcanic
repertoire and its differents styles. Not

fulminanten Mischung, die stärker ist als der hochgradigste Schnaps einer Brennerei. In den letzten 15 Jahren war er an den Konsolen der angesagtesten Clubs und Dance Festivals von Europa
zu Hause. Er trieb sein Unwesen unter anderem
in Glastonbury (UK), MeetMe(Kroatien), Batofar
(Paris), Bohnengold (Berlin) und in diversen
italienischen IN-Clubs (Summer Sessions, Reset,
Plastic). Als Gewinner des RedBull Homegroove

dopo il pubblico viene trascinato in
mezzo a feste con danze focose ed

un canto triste che vuole essere inteso
come lamento del vecchio Danubio.

im Jahre 2012 entstandenes Ensemble, welches Originalkompositionen
des grandiosen, bulgarischen Akkordeonvirtuosen Aleksey Asenov im
Balkan-Jazz Style sowie Klassiker des
Klezmer-Revivals zum Besten gibt. Dunavsko-Trio lässt bisweilen den Orient
wie eine Fata Morgana mit vorüberziehenden Kamelkarawanen erscheinen,
dann wird der Zuhörer mitten in feurig
pulsierende, nahezu ekstatische Tanzfeste entführt. Manchmal ertönt auch
ein trauriges Lied, welches als Klage
der alten Donau verstanden sein will.

sottolineare la collaborazione in corso con
il produttore Steve Greenwell (Joss Stone,
Jonas Brothers ed altri), il quale li ha ospitati nel suo studio di New York per alcune
sessioni di registrazione con ospiti come
Will Lee e Frank McComb. Collaborano con
Kelly Joyce, artista che ha all’attivo oltre un
milione di dischi venduti. A settembre 2013
hanno presentato il disco al Wicked Willy’s
di Manhattan, NY.

6 ragazzi, 8 strumenti, un megafono e
un sacco di divertimento. Quella che
un tempo era una pura dixie band è
cresciuta in breve tempo, componendo
brani originali e non ponendosi limiti
di genere musicale. La tradizionale
“banda” di ottoni si trasforma in
un’esplosione di energia e riarrangiamenti che dal jazz possono portare all’
hard rock!

6 Jungs, 8 Instrumente, ein Megaphon
und jede Menge Spaß. Was einst in
Villanders Ostern 2005 als reine Dixieband geplant war wuchs in kurzer
Zeit zu einem ausgereiften Ensemble
heran, das seine Stücke selber arrangiert und vor keinem Musikstil halt
macht. Das klassische Verständnis
von Blasmusik wird gesprengt, Kompositionen in Einzelteile zerlegt und
das Ganze Kopfüber wieder zusammengestellt.

pure Dixie band has grown up quickly,
composing original pieces and respecting no limits of musical genre. The
traditional brass band is transformed
