La ricordiamo con affetto e profondo rammarico. Vincitori Premio SIS 2013-2014 per la didattica della statistica Le Commissioni di valutazione del Premio SIS 20132014 per la didattica della statistica, nominate dal Consiglio Direttivo, hanno completato i lavori. Il Consiglio Direttivo della SIS, su proposta delle Commissioni, ha deliberato di assegnare i premi per la per la migliore attività realizzata da una classe o da un gruppo di classi, con riferimento ai temi: "Racconta la tua scuola con i numeri" per la scuola primaria e secondaria di I grado; "Teorema di Bayes: a 250 anni dalla sua formulazione, utilizzando strumenti multimediali, descriverne l’attualità mediante esempi di applicazioni pratiche" per la scuola secondaria di II grado a: - Istituto Comprensivo “A. ISLP - Poster Competition 2014-2015 Il concorso, organizzato dall’International Statistical Literacy Project (ISLP) - Progetto per la diffusione della cultura statistica, si sviluppa sotto l’egida dell’International Association for Statistical Education (IASE). Il concorso invita gli studenti di tutto il mondo per la progettazione di un poster statistico. Il poster può essere sviluppato su qualsiasi argomento ma deve riflettere o illustrare l’utilizzo di analisi, interpretazione e comunicazione delle statistiche. In Italia, l’ISLPPoster Competition 2014-2015 vede l’impegno congiunto della Società Italiana di Statistica e dell’Istat. On that occasion, italian and international leading experts and scholars, mainly from academia, the National Institute of Statistics (Istat) and other national and governmental agencies, come together to present completed, planned, and ongoing research and to provide an opportunity for comparison across a broad overview of the issues currently debated about population and society. GRASPA is active since 1995 and has become a permanent working group of the Italian Statistical Society (SIS) since May 2013. GRASPA-SIS promotes statistical and interdisciplinary research in the field of environmental quality, safety and sustainability including air and water quality, epidemiology, climate, earth science and ecology. GRASPA 2015 is an opportunity to share research interests related to the development and the use of statistical methods in environmental sciences, fostering methodological developments and applications in fields such as spatial and spatio-temporal modelling, functional data analysis, directional data, spatial and spatio-temporal sampling and extreme values. Moreover GRASPA 2015 endorses co-operation among statisticians, academics from environmental sciences as well as practitioners from government and independent environmental agencies creating a space for the exchange of experiences and ideas on various aspects relevant to the protection of the natural environment including: air quality, groundwater pollution and hydrology, soil science and site remediation, forestry and landscape analysis, climatology and meteorology, ecology and biodiversity, agriculture and natural resources management, disease epidemics and seismic risk. L’idea di celebrare i 50 anni dalla morte di Corrado Gini (Roma, 13 marzo 1965) nasce dal desiderio di ricordare un illustre statistico e di valorizzare le origini della scuola italiana di statistica. Fabrizio Ruggeri è stato inoltre insignito della Zellner Medal (il maggiore riconoscimento dell'ISBA, conferito per la prima volta nel 2014). These fellowships – for a period of 12 to 24 months – are addressed to researchers who have not stayed or worked in Belgium for more than 12 months over the last 3 years, and with maximum 6 years of postdoctoral experience. The call is also open to people completing their PhD in the coming months.
