Curriculum Vitae – NICOLETA ARDELEAN
Born in Satu Mare, soprano Nicoleta Ardelean graduates “G. Dima” Music
Academy in Cluj-Napoca: in 1997 – the Faculty of Musical Pedagogy, and in 1999 –
the Faculty of Vocal Interpretation. In the year 2000 she graduates Master’s Degree
in Vocal Interpretation.
She is a Laureate (the Grand Award) at the “Sabin Dragoi” National Vocal
Interpretation Contest in Timisoara – 1999 and the “Hariclea Darclee” International
Canto Contest (the third place) – Braila, 1999. In the year 2000 she is a Laureate (“N.
Bretan” Award) at the “Nicolae Bretan” International Vocal Interpretation Contest in
Cluj-Napoca and the International Canto Contest in Bilbao, Spain (the second place
and the Musical Critics Award). In the year 2001, following her international debut on
the stage of the Strasbourg Opera House, she receives an “Award that recognizes
the artistic talent” from the European Foundation for Culture, affiliated to the
European Parliament.
