November 2, 2014, Romans 12:1-6a “Be Not Conformed”
Lead: Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a
living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.
Cong: Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your
mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and
perfect will.
Lead: For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly
than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the
faith God has distributed to each of you.
Cong: For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have
the same function,
Lead: so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.
Together: We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us.
November 9, 2014, Zechariah 4:1-6 “By My Spirit”
Lead: Then the angel who talked with me returned and woke me up, like someone awakened from
sleep.
Cong: He asked me, “What do you see?” I answered, “I see a solid gold lampstand with a bowl at
the top and seven lamps on it, with seven channels to the lamps.
Lead: Also there are two olive trees by it, one on the right of the bowl and the other on its left.”
Cong: I asked the angel who talked with me, “What are these, my lord?”
Lead: He answered, “Do you not know what these are?” “No, my lord,” I replied.
Together: So he said to me, “This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: Not by might nor by
power, but by my Spirit,’ says the Lord Almighty

November 16, 2014, Psalm 95:1-6 “The Rock Of Our Salvation”
Lead: Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation.
Cong: :Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song.
Lead: For the Lord is the great God, the great King above all gods.
Cong: In his hand are the depths of the earth, and the mountain peaks belong to him.
Lead: The sea is his, for he made it, and his hands formed the dry land.
Together: Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the Lord our Maker;
November 23, 2014, Ephesians 5:15-20 “Always Give Thanks”
Lead: Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise,
Cong: making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.
Lead: Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is.
Cong: Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit,
Lead: speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make
music from your heart to the Lord,
Together: always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus
Christ.

November 30, 2014, Psalm 107:15-17;19-21 “Thank God For His Unfailing Love”
Lead: Let them give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for mankind,
Cong: for he breaks down gates of bronze and cuts through bars of iron.
Lead: Some became fools through their rebellious ways and suffered affliction because of their
iniquities.
Cong: Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and he saved them from their distress.
Lead: He sent out his word and healed them; he rescued them from the grave.
Together: Let them give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for
mankind.

Robert
Brother Robert Hillsman served in the U.S. Navy active duty from 1975 to 1995. During that time,
he achieved the rank of First Class Petty Officer. He started off in communications as a Radioman
and Antenna Technician. He also maintained a top secret library of classified material for special
projects and operations. Robert then began serving as a machinist, working on items such as
nuclear reactors, hydraulic power plants and water purification systems. In total, he served
onboard six nuclear powered submarines.
During one of his missions onboard a submarine, while cruising 200 feet below the sea, a tsunami
current came and ripped the submarine and its crew right out of the water. While being tossed
around like a toy, Brother Robert and the entire crew of the submarine prayed until the danger had
passed. They experienced the awesome power of God. “When God brings you through something
like that, you become faithful.”

Deon
Brother Deon McClinton served in the U.S. Army as a Food Service Specialist (94 B10) from 1980 to
1984. Deon’s story is unique in that his entry into military service was as a result of a call from God.
After graduating from High School, he began hanging around negative influences that was leading
him down a bridge to nowhere. “I was partying, drinking and doing all of the things that were
leading me to a path of destruction.” BUT GOD!
Brother Deon credits God for putting it on his heart to join the Army, through the TV commercial
entitled Be All You Can Be. “It changed my life,” he said. Then he added “It taught me selfdiscipline, how to work as a unit and brought out things in me that I didn’t know I had.” The Army
also gave him the opportunity to travel to all parts of the country. From his service in the Army,
Brother Deon also discovered his skill in the culinary arts. “I went into the Army as an 18 year old
punk kid and came out a man.”
