Rugged thermal camera is a type of thermo-graphic camera that is mainly used for firefighting. By rendering the infrared radiation as the visible light, these thermal cameras allow the firefighters to perceive areas of heat through darkness, smoke, snow and heat permeable barriers. These thermal cameras have the capability of distinguishing the temperature variances in the infrared range which can further be converted to electronic signals and can be displayed on the screen.
