“FEASIBILITY INVESTIGATION ON WASTE-TO

“FEASIBILITY INVESTIGATION ON WASTE-TO-ENERGY IN TURKEY”
INTRODUCTION
Objectives of the study
-
In Japan, due to the climate with high temperature and humidity, and due to limited narrow
land and excessive centralization of population, waste incineration treatment has been
expanded. Nowadays 80% of municipal waste is treated by incinerators.
-
This incineration technology originated from Europe. However, the technology has matured
and sophisticated in the last 50 years with its unique progress in Japan. This incineration
system is now treated as a social system.
-
Recently Japan is on the way to the establishment of material sound-cycle society and low
carbon society. In the solid waste management field, promotions for 3R and waste-toenergy have been implemented domestically. In the meantime introduction of
infrastructure to establish low carbon society has been assisted for overseas countries.
-
For your country, Republic of Turkey, we have an intention to contribute to your municipal
solid waste management business with our Japan-made waste-to-energy power generation
system.
