Curiamo con particolare attenzione:
- la sicurezza ed il comfort del personale addetto alla produzione;
- il rispetto dell’ambiente in cui sorge lo stabilimento;
- la sicurezza del personale sul cantiere, garantita da imballaggi
studiati per facilitare la movimentazione e completamente riciclabili.
Produciamo grandi lastre ceramiche grazie all’applicazione di
tecnologie all’avanguardia, nel rispetto (spesso anche in senso molto
migliorativo) delle vigenti normative europee sull’ambiente.
Per questo i macchinari si trovano in ambienti insonorizzati,
l’illuminazione della linea produttiva è a basso regime, esiste un
monitoraggio ambientale in tempo reale, il sistema di imballaggio
– sidepack – prevede l’utilizzo di quantità di cartone minime e
comunque i materiali dell’imballo sono completamente riciclabili e
privi di colle.
La nuova lastra sottile 4.8 è di fatto il nuovo orizzonte del risparmio
energetico in ceramica: offre la possibilità di produrre gres
porcellanato di altissima qualità con notevole risparmio di energia
sia durante il processo di cottura sia durante il trasporto.
We pay close attention to:
- the safety and comfort of our production staff;
- the respect for the environment in and around the factory;
- the safety of tile layers in the building site, which is
guaranteed by the specially designed packaging that
makes movement easier and that is completely recyclable.
We manufacture large porcelain slabs thanks to the application of
advanced technologies, in accordance with the current European
environmental standards (and often with even better results). For this
reason the engines are installed in soundproof areas, the lighting
around the production area is low emission, there is an environmental monitoring in real time, the complete packaging (sidepack) uses
minimum quantities of cardboard and, however, the material used
for packaging is completely recyclable and glueless.
The new 4.8 thin slab is in fact the most advanced system concerning energy saving: it give us the possibility of manufacturing
high quality porcelain stoneware tiles with a remarkable energy
saving,both for firing and carriage.

La superficie è ruvida. L’ideale per
ambienti esterni o che si bagnano
spesso, per via del suo elevato grado di
antiscivolosità. (R10, R11, R12 A+B+C=)
Superficie naturale: il materiale risulta
opaco, satinato ed omogeneo;
la superficie non subisce ulteriori
lavorazioni dopo la cottura.
La superficie è più lucente e morbida al
tatto rispetto alla versione MAT. Viene
ottenuta spazzolando lievemente la
superficie.
The surface is rough and wrinkled. It
is ideal for outdoor floors or which
get often wet because of its high
antislip property.
The surface is opaque and
homogeneous, the surface does not
undergo further processing after
firing.
The surface is more shiny and soft
compared to the MAT version. It
is achieved by gently brushing the
surface.

La superficie viene spazzolata nella
parte superiore, in modo da ottenere
zone più lucide in contrasto con zone in
bassorilievo più opache.
Il prodotto MAT viene levigato con
delle mole che ne asportano lo strato
superficiale, rendendo il materiale
lucido e riflettente. La nostra superficie
levigata non è perfettamente piatta, ma
è leggermente ondulata, e conserva
un movimento naturale che riproduce
la levigatura in opera dei pavimenti di
pietra naturale.
The surface is brushed on the top,
to obtain more shiny parts which
contrast with more opaque bas-relief
parts.
The MAT product is polished with
grindstones which remove the
superficial layer, making the slabs
shiny and reflective. Our shiny
surface is not perfectly flat, it is
slightly wavy and it keeps a natural
motion which reproduces the in place
polishing of natural stone floors.

Per un buon posizionamento occorre:
1) Un massetto in cemento di sottofondo per il piatto doccia
2) Una guaina in piano e sui bordi rivestiti h 30
cm per scongiurare eventuali infiltrazioni
3) Incollare il piatto doccia con collante tipo superflex o altro.

INNOVAZIONE TECNOLOGIA
INNOVATION TECHNOLOGY
Il processo produttivo di GIGACER prevede la preparazione
preliminare di un unico formato, grandi lastre in gres
porcellanato 120x120 cm, multistrato a tutta massa, che
possono essere successivamente tagliate e modificate a freddo
in molteplici altri formati e superfici mantenendo la massima
garanzia di requisiti tecnici qualitativi ed estetici.
Questa serie di lastre caratterizzate da superiori prerogative
tecniche ed estetiche viene prodotta in gres porcellanato a tutta
massa multistrato con una tecnologia assolutamente innovativa.
L’impianto e’ stato progettato appositamente per produrre grandi
formati e utilizza la tecnologia definita “CONTINUA” che
prevede prima della pressatura, una fase di precompattazione
della lastra multistrato a tutta massa che permette di ottenere
speciali effetti decorativi senza ricorrere all’uso di smalti,ma solo
con la distribuzione di impasti porcellanati colorati di qualità. Gli
spessori delle lastre prodotte variano da 12 mm a 4.8 mm.
GIGACER production process starts from large porcelain
slabs, size 120x120 cm, homogeneous multilayer. The
slabs can then be cut in many other submultiples and worked
again to get different finishes, preserving their top quality
and aesthetic features.
These homogeneous multilayer porcelain slabs show
superior technical and aesthetical characteristics thanks to
a highly innovative technology. The equipment has been
realized on purpose to manufacture large sizes and uses an
innovative technology called “CONTINUA”. This technology
foresees a pre-compacting phase before pressing, that
allows to achieve special decorative effects without using
glazes, but only distributing the porcelain mixed powders on
the body. The thickness of the manufactured slabs run from
12 mm to 4.8 mm.

4.8 USER MANUAL
Le lastre di 4.8 mm sono: resistenti, sottili, leggere, facili da movimentare e da tagliare, resistenti al fuoco, ingelive, ecocompatibili
e non necessitano di particolari accorgimenti per la manutenzione.
É un prodotto ideale per pavimenti e rivestimenti interni ed esterni,
ed è particolarmente adatto nel caso di ristrutturazione di pavimentazioni e rivestimenti residenziali: si applica sull’esistente senza
opere di demolizione e relativi costi di smaltimento.
GIGACER 4.8mm è idoneo al rivestimento di pareti interne ed
esterne tramite incollaggio e in situazioni che necessitino di un
minor aggravio di peso sulle strutture.
Il 4.8mm è perfettamente abbinabile ai pavimenti della stessa
collezione in spessore tradizionale, dei quali mantiene non solo
le stesse caratteristiche estetiche, ma anche il medesimo calibro e
modularità.
Il 4,8mm è un prodotto dal design ecologico: lo spessore ridotto
comporta un minor impatto ambientale in termini di consumo di
2014 energia, materie prime, imballo e trasporti. Costituisce una valida
alternativa al gres porcellanato di spessore tradizionale in tutti
i casi in cui il minor spessore e la leggerezza costituiscono un
fattore determinante.
Suggerimenti per la posa
Consigliamo di posare il nostro prodotto 4,8mm col metodo della
doppia spalmatura (stendere la colla sia sul supporto che sul retro
della piastrella). È molto importante che non rimangano vuoti o
bolle d’aria tra la lastra e il sottofondo.
Il 4,8mm può essere tagliato con la normale taglierina a secco
con ruota diamantata (clipper). La foratura si effettua con trapani
a punte per gres porcellanato, frese a tazza, foretti montati su
flessibile (fori di grandi dimensioni), idrogetto. Non usare mai il
percussore in fase di foratura per evitare vibrazioni eccessive sulla
lastra. Eventualmente usare il raffreddamento ad acqua nel punto
di contatto. Non utilizzare la funzione percussore.

The 4.8mm slabs are resistant, thin, lightweight, easy to
handle and cut, fire-resistant, frostproof, environmentally
friendly and require no special care for maintenance. 4.8mm
is an ideal product for interior and exterior cladding.
4,8mm slabs are particularly suitable in the case of renovation of residential floors and walls: they can be layed on the
existing floor, allowing a dramatic demolition and disposal
cost savings.
GIGACER 4.8mm is suitable to indoor and outdoor wall
covering and it is particularly indicated in all cases where it
is preferable not to load too much weight on the building’s
structure.
4.8mm can be combined with the 12mm slabs of every
collection because it has the same caliber and it is perfectly
modular with 2mm joints.
4.8mm is a green product: it allows savings in terms of energy consumption, raw materials, packaging and transport.
It is a valid alternative to the traditional 12mm in all those
cases where lightness and less thickness represent a determinant variable.
Laying suggestions
We suggest to fix our 4.8mm slabs with double spreading
(spread the glue both on the substrate and on the back of
the tile). Important: there must not be air bubbles or empty
spaces between the slab and the substrate.
Cutting operations can be carried out with tools normally
used for thicker porcelain tiles (manual or hose cutter with
disks for porcelain tiles, bench machine with diamond disks
for porcelain tiles and with water cooling, hydrojet).
Drilling operations can be normally carried out with drills
with porcelain tiles drill bits, hollow mills or hose-mounted
drill bits (for large size holes), hydrojet. Never use the
hammer function when drilling, in order to avoid excessive
vibrations on the slab and if necessary usewater cooling on
the point being worked.

La resistenza di 2 lastre di 12mm di spessore, incollate assieme
con colla bicomponente garantisce un modulo di rottura di
18.140 kgf, dove le norme ne prescrivono almeno 1.300.
≠24mm è resistente al gelo, ha un altissimo carico di rottura, è
resistente ai sali, facile da pulire anche utilizzando idropulitrici,
resistente agli attacchi di muffe, funghi, muschi e trattamenti al
verderame. È rimovibile, riutilizzabile, antiscivolo, resistente al
fuoco e facile da installare.
≠24mm non cambia col tempo e resiste a tutte le condizioni
climatiche, caratteristiche fondamentali per un pavimento esterno.
La posa puo’ essere fatta utilizzando diverse tecniche, secondo il
tipo di superficie da ricoprire. Le lastre possono essere installate
a secco direttamente su ghiaia, sabbia o altri substrati, possono
essere stese su supporti soprelevati (es. Eterno Ivica) o incollate.
L’installazione soprelevata puo’ essere effettuata con una struttura
portante di moduli in polipropilene, che possono essere fissi,
regolabili e autolivellanti. Hanno una altezza minima di 37,5
mm e massima di 230 mm. L’installazione sopraelevata consente
una facile ispezione di cavi o condutture senza dover rompere
il pavimento. ≠24mm pavimento sopraelevato è la migliore
soluzione per luoghi residenziali o commerciali come balconi,
vialetti, ecc. dal momento che protegge la superficie sottostante e
consente ogni tipo di intervento tecnico. Consigliamo una fuga di
4mm per lo scolo dell’acqua e per la posa di formati multipli.

adjustable and self levelling. They have a minimum height of

for easy inspection of underlying cabling and circuits without
the need for burdensome work.

LAYING AND ADHESIVES
Il supporto
Il massetto o il substrato deve essere sufficientemente resistente
a sopportare il peso aggiuntivo previsto con l’installazione del
pavimento in ceramica, deve essere perfettamente planare,
perfettamente maturo (secondo indicazioni del produttore del
cemento) e libero da qualsiasi detrito o liquido sulla superficie
(polvere, sabbia, terra, olio, vernice, grasso, ecc.) che possa
compromettere l’adesione della ceramica al supporto.
Supporti in cemento rinforzato
Il supporto deve essere maturo, pulito, asciutto e libero da qualsiasi
sostanza che possa compromettere l’adesione della ceramica
al substrato. Ogni crepa formatasi a seguito del restringimento
idrometrico del supporto deve essere sigillata con adesivo bi
componente epossidico (es. EPORIP di Mapei spa o simili).
Se il supporto presenta tracce di polvere o sporco deve essere pulito
accuratamente e successivamente deve essere applicato uno strato
di primer in resina monocomponente con contenuto di componenti
organici volatili (VOC) molto basso (es. PRIMER G o ECO PRIM T
di Mapei spa o simili).
Se la superficie del cemento presenta parti scrostate o indebolite è
necessario consolidarle con un primer epossidico o in poliuretano
mono o bi componente (come PRIMER MF o ECOPRIM PU 1K di
Mapei spa o simili).
Massetti
Il massetto deve essere maturo, pulito, asciutto e libero da qualsiasi
sostanza che possa compromettere l’adesione della ceramica
al substrato. Ogni crepa formatasi a seguito del restringimento
idrometrico del supporto deve essere sigillata con adesivo
bicomponente epossidico (es. EPORIP di Mapei spa o simili).
Una volta che la superficie è completamente liscia e matura
è necessario controllare che abbia la resistenza necessaria a
sopportare le sollecitazioni e il peso ai quali sarà sottoposta con la
posa della ceramica.
Se il supporto presenta tracce di polvere o sporco deve essere pulito
accuratamente e successivamente deve essere applicato uno strato
di primer in resina monocomponente con contenuto di componenti
organici volatili (VOC) molto basso (es. PRIMER G o ECO PRIM T
di Mapei spa o simili).
Se la superficie del cemento presenta parti scrostate o indebolite è
necessario consolidarle con un primer epossidico o in poliuretano
mono o bicomponente (come PRIMER MF o ECOPRIM PU 1K di
Mapei spa o simili).
Per pavimenti riscaldati deve essere eseguito il corretto ciclo del
sistema in conformità con le norme vigenti e le indicazioni del
produttore del sistema di riscaldamento a pavimento.
Pavimenti esistenti in ceramica, cotto o pietra.
Per il fissaggio delle lastre su pavimenti esistenti controllare per prima
cosa che il pavimento esistente sia ancora solidamente attaccato
al substrato, che sia planare e non siano presenti rotture o parti
distaccate. Se queste condizioni non sono interamente soddisfatte
procedere come segue:
• Sigillare le crepe e le rotture con una resina epossidica
bicomponente (come EPORIP di Mapei spa o simili)
• Riempire i vuoti lasciati da eventuali pietre o piastrelle rimosse
usando un prodotto livellante (come ADESILEX P4 o NIVORAPID di
pag 74 Mapei spa o simili)
• Correggere ogni imperfezione di planarità con malte livellanti
dopo aver pulito la superficie e aver usato, se necessario, un primer
(come ECO PRIM T di Mapei o simili).
In generale i pavimenti esistenti in ceramica o pietra naturale
devono essere accuratamente puliti con una soluzione di acqua
tiepida e soda caustica al 20%, e sciacquati abbondantemente per
rimuovere ogni traccia di sostanza. In alcuni casi la superficie può
essere sottoposta ad abrasione, per ottenere un supporto più ruvido
e aumentare l’aderenza delle colle.
La posa
Prima di installare le lastre Gigacer occorre selezionare l’adesivo più
adatto a seconda del tipo di supporto, delle condizioni climatiche
e del tempo che intercorrerà tra la posa e l’inizio dell’utilizzo della
superficie calpestabile.
La tabella seguente illustra alcuni esempi di adesivi adatti alla posa
delle lastre Gigacer, sia di 12mm che di 4,8mm di spessore.

Per una posa perfetta e una complete bagnatura consigliamo,
soprattutto in caso di utilizzo delle lastre sottili in 4,8mm, di effettuare
la doppia spalmatura, applicando la colla sia sul retro della lastra
che sul supporto.
Applicare prima uno strato sottile di colla sul retro della lastra con
una spatola liscia, e di seguito applicare altro adesivo stendendolo
con una spatola dentata effettuando movimenti semicircolari.
Applicare poi la colla sul sottofondo con una spatola dentata e
posare la lastra. Battere la lastra con un martello di gomma per
assicurarsi della perfetta bagnatura e scongiurare la presenza di
vuoti d’aria.
È possibile utilizzare sistemi per agevolare la perfetta planarità della
posa, soprattutto con lastre di grande formato, come ad esempio il
Tuscan Leveling System.
Stuccatura
Consigliamo una fuga di 2mm in caso di posa multiformato e
2-4mm in caso di posa di un formato unico.
È necessario consultare le nostre tabelle di caratteristiche tecniche e
applicare i giunti di dilatazione necessari.
Lo stucco deve essere applicato solo dope che l’adesivo si sia
indurito, normalmente dopo 3 ore in caso di adesivo rapido e dopo
24 ore in caso di adesivo standard. Questi valori si riferiscono ad
una posa all’asciutto effettuata a una temperatura di +23°C e con
il 50% di umidità relativa.

The substrate
The floor substrate must be resistant enough to bear the expected
stress and weight added with the ceramic tiles, it must be perfectly
planar, perfectly aged and dry, and free of any lose part such as
oil, water, dust, paint, grease etc., which might compromise the
adhesion of the slabs.
Reinforced concrete substrate
The substrate must be aged, cured, clean, dry and free of any
substance which might compromise the adhesion of the ceramic.
Any crack due to hygrometric shrinkage must be sealed using a twocomponent epoxy fluid adhesive (ie. EPORIP by Mapei or similar).
If the concrete support is dirty or has surface dust it must be thoroughly
cleaned and the a suitable single-component resin primer with a
very low content of colatile organic compounds (VOC) must be
applied (ie. PRIMER G or ECO PRIM T by Mapei spa or similar).
If the concrete surface has any surface inconsistencies it must be
consolidated with a suitable single-component or two-component
epoxy or polyurethane primer (such as PRIMER MF or ECOPRIM PU
1K by Mapei spa or similar).
Screed coats
The screed surface must be aged, cured, clean, dry and free of any
substance which might compromise the adhesion of the ceramic.

Once the surface is completely cured it is important to check that
it is strong enough to bear the weight of the ceramic that will be
fixed on it.

For floor heating installations the correct switch on cycle of the system
must be performed in compliance with the applicable standards
and the indications of the manufacturer of the floor heating system.
Existing ceramics or stone floorings
For ceramic and stone floorings, check that the existing covering
is perfectly attached to the support, planar and free of any cracks
or sections that tend to detach from the substrate. If not proceed as
follows:
• seal the floor cracks with two-component fluid epoxy resins
(such as EPORIP by Mapei spa or similar);
• fill any gaps created when removing any tiles or slabs that do
not adhere, using rapid setting thixotropic smoothing compounds
(such as ADESILEX P4 or NIVORAPID by Mapei spa or similar);
• correct any planarity imperfections with levelling mortars, after
cleaning the existing surface and, if necessary, using a suitable
primer (such as ECO PRIM T by Mapei spa or similar ).
Generally speaking existing ceramic or stone floorings must be
suitably cleaned with a solution of warm water and caustic soda
at 20%, and rinsed thoroughly to remove any trace of loose
substances. In specific cases the surface can be subjected to some
2014 surface abrasion to achieve a rough and clean support, in order to
improve the subsequent adhesion.
Tiling
Before laying Gigacer slabs select the most suitable adhesive
according to the type of support, the final environment, the weather
conditions of the site and the time available between laying and
use.
The table below lists a few examples of adhesive systems suitable
for laying our slabs on horizontal indoor surfaces.

For a perfect laying and a complete wetting we suggest to apply
the adhesive with double spreading, applying the glue both on
the substrate and on the back of the tile. We suggest to use this
procedure especially for 4,8mm slabs.
Apply the adhesive with an adequately sized notched trowel, firstly
laying one thin layer on the support with the flat edge of the trowel
and then applying the desired thickness with the notched edge.
Then apply the adhesive on the substrate with a notched trowel and
lay the tile. Beat the tile with a rubber hammer to ensure perfect
wetting and remove any air bubble which might have generated
between the tile and the substrate. It is possible to use systems
such as Tuscan Leveling or similar to help maintaining the perfect
planarity of the floor.
Grouting
We suggest to use 2mm joints in case of multi-format flooring and
2-4 mm in case of single-format.
Please read carefully our technical specifications charts and apply
the necessary dilatation joints.
The joints must be grouted only after the adhesive has hardened,
normally 3 hours for fast set adhesives and at least 24 hours for
regular set adhesives. These values refer to laying carried out at
+23°C and 50 % relative humidity.

CONSIGLI PER LA PULIZIA
CLEANING TIPS
La cura con la quale viene eseguita la pulizia dopo la posa
influenzerà la pulibilità del pavimento per tutta la sua durata.
Prima di tutto riteniamo importante premettere che i prodotti
GIGACER vengono sottoposti continuamente a tutti i test di
resistenza alle macchie previsti dalle norme UNI EN.
Si può quindi dire che la superficie di una piastrella completamente
greificata è composta da materiale simile al vetro e come
tale va trattata quando si decide di pulirla. Importante, anzi
importantissimo, è la prima pulizia fatta a pavimento nuovo.
È necessario togliere, con i prodotti adeguati, tutti i residui
di cemento lasciati in fase di posa e stuccatura dai posatori,
utilizzando detergenti a base acida tipo È COSÌ Cherodal diluito
1:2 in acqua, accompagnato da una decisa azione meccanica,
ovviamente di materiale non abrasivo (motospazzole o spugne
tipo Vileda). È altrettanto importante risciacquare bene fino a
vedere l’acqua usata limpida. Se questa operazione non viene
fatta correttamente il pavimento conserverà un invisibile strato di
calcare che col tempo si potrà macchiare o impedire una “bella
pulizia”. Fatto questo e avuta la certezza che le piastrelle sono
ben pulite, il pavimento non presenterà più problemi.
Se però la pulizia iniziale non è stata ben eseguita ed il pavimento
presenta aloni, macchie o piastrelle con superficie opacizzata
ecc. è necessario ripartire da zero con la pulizia, cioè prima con
detergente a base acida È COSÌ Cherodal diluito e poi lavare e
risciacquare, ripetutamente con acqua sempre pulita in quanto
non esistono detergenti in grado di pulire all’istante e al solo
passaggio, un pavimento così sporco. Tuttavia anche la pulizia
ordinaria può essere causa di aloni o macchie, soprattutto se si
tratta di superfici particolarmente morbide e lisce.
Dobbiamo continuare a pensare che abbiamo a che fare con un
materiale vetroso e come tale va trattato.
Le lastre con finitura lucidata necessitano al momento della posa
in opera di una corretta pulizia con detergenti ed una protezione
superficiale con prodotti specifici (vedi tabella a lato).
Per la pulizia quotidiana è sufficiente asportare la polvere con
uno straccio asciutto, lavare la superficie con il detergente neutro
a basso residuo È COSÌ Velvet diluito 1:200 in acqua (una tazzina
in un secchio da 5 litri d’acqua) utilizzando uno straccio umido
che andrà sciacquato spesso nella soluzione. L’uso di acqua
sporca o prodotti lucidanti o un eccesso di detergenti può, col
tempo, formare una patina invisibile causa di aloni e macchie.
Ribadiamo che i nostri prodotti sono stabili e continuamente
controllati. Per ultimo ricordiamo di non usare mai smacchiatori
tipo antiruggine o di tipo spray perché spesso contengono acido
fluoridrico, il danno che provocherà sarà irreparabile in quanto
non esiste pavimento, nostro o di altri, resistente a tale acido.
Come ultimo atto di questa trattazione indichiamo come
dovrebbero essere protette le fughe, infatti nei materiali naturali e
smaltati dopo la pulizia di fine cantiere è bene impermeabilizzare
le fughe con il protettivo per fughe tipo FUGAPROOF della FILA, il
quale impedisce l’assorbimento di macchie, facilita la rimozione
dello sporco e mantiene la fuga come nuova per anni.
L’impermeabilizzante va applicato in corrispondenza della fuga
usando il pratico beccuccio, stendendolo poi con un pennellino
per uniformare, in questo modo si crea una pellicola invisibile che
evita che lo sporco penetri in profondità rendendo impossibile la
successiva pulizia.
Dopo qualche ora la superficie può essere trafficata.
pag 76 An accurate cleaning after laying is fundamental for the life and
future routine care of a floor.
First of all, we wish to point out that GIGACER slabs are regularly
tested on stain resistance, according to the uni en norms.
It is important to say that the surface of the slab is completely vitrified
and made of materials similar to glass; for this reason a careful
cleaning with suitable products is strongly recommended.
It is necessary to remove all residues from the laying process (mortar,
concrete, plaster, adhesive etc.) by using an acid detergent, like
È COSÌ Cherodal diluted in water 1:2 and applied with a floor
cleaning brush or rag. It is also very important to rinse throughly until
the water used becomes clear.
If this procedure is not performed correctly, the floor will keep an
invisible surface calcareous film and could easily get stained and
in the future hardly cleaned. A perfect first cleaning will mean an
easy future maintenance.
In case the surface is still dirty (stains, dull tiles..) the cleaning
procedure has to be carefully repeated. First, use an acid detergent,
like diluted È COSÌ Cherodal and then wash and rinse the surface
with clean water several times, as on the market you find no
detergents that are succefull after one cleaning.
Anyway, also during the routine cleaning you may see salt marks
and stains appear on the surface, particularly on soft and smooth
surfaces. We cannot forget that our products are vitreous and have
to be treated accordingly.
For the daily care, it is sufficient to remove dust with a dry rag, then
wash the surface with the neutral detergent È COSÌ Velvet diluted
1:200 (1 small cup for 5 liters water) and applied with a dump rag
that should be often rinsed in the solution. The use of dirty water,
polishing products or an extra quantity of detergent can produce an
invisible film and then spots and salt marks.
We remind you that our products are regularly checked and stable
in the long term.
Last, we remind to avoid using antirust or spray removers, as they
contain hydrofluoric acid. There are no tiles on the market, neither
ours nor from our competitors, withstanding this type of acid.
As last matter, we point out the right way to protect the joints: after
installation, use a waterproofing product like “fugaproof” by fila.
It prevents absorption of spots , makes dirt removal easier and
preserve the joint for years.
Waterproofing is done directly on the joint with a small beak , and
spreading the product flat with a little brush. In this way the joint will
be protected by an invisible film , avoiding the deep penetration
of dirt. After a few hours from the application, one can walk on the
surface.

Trattando grandi formati, abbiamo studiato un packaging
ad hoc per i nostri prodotti, in modo da permettere una
ottima maneggevolezza sul cantiere favorendo le
operazioni degli addetti alla posa.
Dealing with large sizes, we have designed a special
packaging system for our products, so as to allow for easy
handling on the building site, thus facilitating the work
of the layers.
Il criterio principale che ha guidato lo studio del packaging
è l’antinfortunistica: trattandosi di grandi formati la
pallettizzazione orizzontale, infatti, è l’unica a garantire
che le lastre non cadano durante le operazioni di
apertura del pallet.
Le lastre ceramiche sono imballate orizzontalmente, per
avere il massimo della stabilità.
Nonostante il grande formato, la quantità di cartone
e altri materiali da imballaggio usata è fino a quattro
volte inferiore a quella delle tradizionali piastrelle: si
usa l’imballaggio solo dove è strettamente necessario,
a protezione di bordi e spigoli, mentre la superficie del
prodotto rimane visibile.
Il packaging contiene tutte le informazioni necessarie
all’identificazione del prodotto ed è composto da
materiali completamente riciclabili.
The main criteria behind the design of the packaging
was safe working practice: in dealing with large
sizes, horizontal palletising is in fact the only method for
guaranteeing that the slabs do not fall during the opening
of the pallet.
The ceramic slabs are packed horizontally, thus achieving
maximum stability.
Even despite the large size of the products, the quantity of
cardboard and other packaging materials used is up to four
times lower than that used for traditional tiles: packaging
is used only where strictly necessary, to protect edges and
corners, whilst the surface of the product remains visible.
The packaging contains all the information necessary
for identifying the product and is made of completely
recyclable material.

di quantità di cartone minime, a protezione degli spigoli
laterali e degli angoli delle lastre. Il sidepack è stato
studiato appositamente per i prodotti GIGACER e
brevettato. Questo permette anche un’ispezione completa
del prodotto prima della rottura dell’imballaggio. L’impiego
di cartone nel sidepack corrisponde normalmente ad un
quarto della quantità necessaria per la normale vassoiatrice.
• The complete packaging (sidepack) uses minimum
quantities of cardboard, for the protection of the sides and
the corners of the slabs. The sidepack has been specially
designed and patented for GIGACER products. It also
facilitates the complete inspection of the product before the
packaging is opened.
The quantity of cardboard used for the sidepack normally
corresponds to one quarter of the quantity necessary for a
normal tray packing system.

IMBALLAGGIO - PACKAGING
Curiamo con particolare attenzione gli imballi del materiale
4,8mm per scongiurare qualsiasi rischio di rottura dovuta alle
sollecitazioni del viaggio. Il cartone utilizzato proviene al 100%
da fonti riciclate e il legno, fumigato secondo le norme ISPM-15,
sostiene il peso di eventuali pallet (sempre Gigacer) sovrapposti
scaricandolo a terra. È importante sovrapporre i pallet dello
stesso formato, e non euro pallet con pallet 130x130.
Per ogni pallet di 4,8mm verranno addebitati in fattura
€ 20,00 forfettari.
Gigacer non si assume nessuna responsabilità per danni causati al
materiale da errate manovre di carico o scarico, da movimentazioni
non autorizzate o da eventi accidentali di qualsiasi tipo.

We pay close attention to the 4.8 mm products packaging, to
avoid any risk of breakage during shipping. The cardboards
used come from recycled sources 100%, and wood, fumigated
according to ISPM-15, supports the weight of any pallet (gigacer
pallets) stacked. It is important to stack only pallets of the same size.
We will charge € 20,00 standard for every 4,8mm pallet.
Gigacer assumes no responsibility for damages caused by incorrect
handling of the material loading or unloading, unauthorized
handling or accidents of any kind.
