RESET + Manual update of VCI POD
Manual update of the VCI POD may be necessary in several cases:
- When there are two or more leds flashing ;
- When Witech Plus program fails to recognize VCI POD it needs to be updated ;
- When Witech Plus program doesn’t select VCI POD ;
This procedure takes about 15 minutes .
So make sure that you have the necessary time , to have the vehicle and to have the
VCI POD supplied with USB cable.
Procedure
1. Hold down the Reset button with a paperclip and connect the USB cable between the
laptop and the VCI POD while pressing the reset button.
2. Hold down the RESET button till the WLAN LED and BUSY start blinking quickly
(about 30 seconds) and then you let the reset button go.
3. Connect the VCI POD to the vehicle using EOBD connector (3)
4. Insert the address : 172.22.22.22 and press enter

the file to select is called: vservera.upgrade-mpvci-2.1.9.zip (2.1.9 or superior )
it is located in the folder:
C:\Program Files (x86)\DCC Tools\wiTECH Server\install\bundles
8. After selecting correct file, and press Install button .

The file will be transferred to the VCI POD for installation.

10. After a few seconds you will see the page bellow , press Close
11. You will see bellow page ; it will be necessary to wait from 5 to 10 minutes
In this stage VCI Pod is reinstalling it’s Firmware.
LED BUSY on the VCI POD has to be orange (firm orange light not flashing ) .
12. After this time LED BUSY ha sto switch off and the VCI POD has to restart .
LED SAFE will be red (firm red light not flashing)

13. Press page update button of Internet Explorer
to display the page bellow .
verify that at the top of the page is written : System Release: 2.1.9 (o superior)
and at the button in red : No ERRORS found at startup.
14. Open WitechPlus program and try to make the diagnosis.
ATTENTION:
If you still can not make the diagnosis you may need to disconnect the VCI POD as from
the vehicle as from the PC to turn off all LEDs.
