INDUSTRIAL RESEARCH
FULL TIME RESEARCHER
Research, design and development of bioinformatics tools for studies concerning molecular
biodiversity. In particular, I was involved in the design and development of software for the
prioritization of genes associated to Hereditary Hearing Loss disease. This project was
developed in collaboration with IRCCS CSS San Giovanni Rotondo – specialized centre for
Hereditary Hearing Loss condition. In details, the tool automatically evaluates the probability of
candidate genes to be associated to the pathology according to: biomedical literature,
GeneOntology products, sequence features, gene expression profiles and protein-protein
interaction.
