Guttafol® è una linea di teli sottotegola studiata per proteggere il
tetto dal vento, dalla pioggia e dalla neve che, filtrando sotto le
tegole, potrebbero causare danni all’isolamento termico, alle
travi ed alle altre parti che compongono il sottotetto.
La gamma comprende teli altamente traspiranti, barriere
vapore, freno vapore, riflettenti e altamente impermeabili.
Possiamo suddividerli nelle seguenti tipologie:
Tipo S: sono altamente impermeabili e adatti come freno
vapore, possono avere una rete di rinforzo che ne aumenta la
resistenza all’abrasione e allo strappo.
Tipo DO: sono teli altamente traspiranti che possono essere
posati anche direttamente sull’isolante senza la necessità di
avere una camera d’aria tra questi due elementi.
Tipo N: sono teli studiati come elementi impermeabili sottotegola per falde con spiccate inclinazioni e offrono il vantaggio,
essendo trasparenti, di vedere la posizione del travetto sottostante facilitandone la chiodatura.
Tipo ALU: sono realizzati per esaltare l’impermeabilità, la
capacità di opporsi al vapore e l’ottima riflettenza termica nel
sottotegola. Inoltre tra i teli sottotetto Guttafol è possibile
sceglierne alcuni permeabili al vapore acqueo che è presente
all’interno delle abitazioni così da evitare la trasformazione in
particelle di acqua nel punto freddo della copertura (punto di
rugiada) evitando di danneggiare quindi gli elementi che costituiscono il tetto.
Guttafol® is a line of underlay membranes, created to protect the
roof from wind, rain and snow that could filter under the roofing
tiles damaging the thermal insulation, the beams and the other
parts of the subroofing. The line includes vapour barriers, highly transpirating, vapour contrasting, reflecting and highly waterproof membranes. The line can be subdivided into following families:
Type S: highly impermeable products suitable as vapour-contrasting elements, they can have a reinforcing net that makes
them more abrasion-proof
Type DO: highly transparent sheets that can be laid also
directly onto the insulating material where it is necessary to
have an air interspace between these two elements.
Type N: membranes created to be an impermeable element
under the roofing tiles with strongly inclined pitches. Being
transparent, they have the advantage that it is possible to see
the position of the underlying rafter which makes the riveting
easier.
Type ALU: these products were studied to improve the impermeableness, the capacity to contrast steam and they have an
excellent thermal reflection in the roofing tile.
Among the underlay Guttafol® membranes there are types that
also are permeable to the water vapour that may exist inside
dwellings so to avoid that the vapour is transformed into water
particles in the cold point of the covering (dew point) and to
avoid that the elements that make up the roof are damaged.

Questo prodotto unisce le caratteristiche di più teli.
Infatti conserva un’elevatissima capacità impermeabile (4 m circa di colonna d’acqua tipica dei teli
frenavapore) abbinata ad un’ottima traspirabilità (330
gm2 in 24 ore). È possibile posarlo sia su assito sia
su listellatura che direttamente sull’isolante.
Con guttafol® DO 102 si evita la camera d’aria di 2
cm sopra la coibentazione posando il telo direttamente su di essa.
This is a two-coloured, non-microperforated fabric membrane, made up of 3 layers for use as an underlay. This product combines the features of more than one underlay. It
maintains an extremely high water impermeability (4 m. approximately head of water, typical of vapour control membranes) together with an excellent permeability to vapour

without creating any air space between the two elements, due to its high transpiration power (>1300 gm2

Its heavy weight per sqm (170 gm2) makes the membrane optimally resistant both to longitudinal and to
transversal tensile stress.

Consigli per la posa
La funzione del telo guttafol® DO 170 è quella di rendere impermeabile il tetto e
garantire, attraverso l’alto grado di traspirabilità, che il punto di rugiada sia sopra
il telo e non sotto, a contatto con l’isolante, evitando così che la coibentazione si
bagni riducendo il potere coibente. Il telo deve essere srotolato partendo dal basso
(gronda), in strisce parallele che devono essere sovrapposte per almeno 20 cm.
In gronda il telo viene posato parzialmente in essa, mentre sul colmo i lembi finiranno sulla falda opposta, consentendo la sovrapposizione.
Laying recommendations
The function of the guttafol® DO 170 membrane is to make the roof impermeable to
water and to ensure, with its high degree of vapour permeability, that the dew point is
above and not below the membrane. This prevents the insulation from becoming wet
and reducing its insulating power. The membrane must be unrolled and laid in parallel rows starting from the eaves with an overlap of at least 20 cm. It should be laid partially within the eaves, while on the ridge of the roof the edges must end on the opposite pitch to allow an overlap.

microperforated vapour permeable underlay membrane
Sono 2 teli in polietilene trasparente microforati,
con rete di rinforzo in polipropilene.
Sono indicati in falde con considerevoli inclinazioni
e, grazie alla proprietà fisica del polietilene possiede, facilita lo scivolamento della goccia d’acqua che
proviene dal tetto.
Sono inoltre indicati nella posa sui listelli, in quanto
la loro trasparenza permette di vedere il listello sottostante, facilitando l’operazione di chiodatura.
Sono disponibili due versioni con differenti grammature.

These are two microperforated transparent polyethylene membranes with a reinforcing polypropylene
mesh.
They are for use on pitched roofs with a considerable
inclination and thanks to the physical properties of the
polyethylene, they help water drops to slide off the
roof.
They can be placed directly onto the battens because
of their transparency, which enables the battens to be
seen and makes the nailing process easier.
There are two different weights.

Consigli per la posa
guttafol® N 140 / N 105 devono essere srotolati partendo dal basso, in strisce
parallele che devono essere sovrapposte almeno 20 cm. Il fissaggio avviene
mediante chiodi o graffette.
La parte impermeabile va posta verso l’esterno avendo cura di terminare la
copertura in laterizio al più presto dopo la posa del telo.
guttafol® N 140 / N 105 terminano 3 cm prima del colmo e in gronda nella
lamiera della stessa.
Laying recommendations
guttafol® N 140 / N 105 must be unrolled starting from the eaves laying in parallel
rows with an overlap of at least 20 cm. It can be fastened with nails or staples.
The impermeable side must be placed outwards taking care to cover the roof with tiles
as soon as possible after the membrane has been laid.
guttafol® N 140 / N 105 should end 3 cm before the ridge of the roof and in the eaves
skirt.

Sono 2 teli a 4 strati con un rivestimento in alluminio
e una rete di rinforzo.
Hanno come caratteristica la totale impermeabilità,
l’elevatissima resistenza alla trazione in virtù della rete
in polipropilene in essi inserita, e un’ottima riflettenza
all’irraggiamento solare. Hanno 2 grammature differenti per offrire 2 tipi di resistenza alla trazione.
Vengono utilizzati come sottotegola, per l’impermeabilità e la riflettenza del calore estivo, e come barriera
al vapore sia nell’estradosso che nell’intradosso del
tetto.

These are two membranes of 4 layers with an aluminium coating and a reinforcing mesh.
They are completely impermeable to water and have
a very high tensile strength due to the internal polypropylene mesh, and an excellent reflecting capacity
to the sun’s rays. There are 2 different weights offering
two different tensile strengths.
They are used as an underlay because of their impermeability and to reflect the summer heat, and as a
vapour barrier both in the extrados and the intrados of
the roof.

Consigli per la posa
guttafol® DS ALU 160 F / 105, se utilizzati come sottotegola per impermeabilizzazione e riflettenza del calore, deveno essere srotolati in strisce parallele e
sovrapposti almeno 20 cm, partendo dalla gronda fino al colmo, avendo cura di
terminare 3 cm prima di esso. È consigliabile creare una camera d’aria di 2 cm
tra l’isolante e il telo; fissarlo con graffette prima di sovrapporre il lembo successivo.
Se posato come barriera vapore nell’intradosso del tetto, si posa sempre a strisce parallele dal basso verso l’alto come indicato nella figura.
Laying recommendations
guttafol® DS ALU 160 F / 105, if used as an underlay to make the roof impermeable
to water and reflect heat, must be unrolled and laid in parallel rows with an overlap of
20 cm, starting from the eaves and taking care to stop 3 cm before the ridge.
An air space of 2 cm should be created between the insulation and the membrane. The
underlay must be fastened with staples before overlapping the next edge.
If used as a vapour barrier in the intrados of the roof, it should also be laid in parallel
rows starting from the eaves and working upwards, as shown in the diagram.
