PRESENTATION OF THE COMPANY
HYDEA S.P.A. is an engineering, architectural and environmental company,
specialized in interdisciplinary projects in Italy and abroad.
It was founded in 1990 by reorganising the Consorzio Hydea Consultants, a
company with a long history in the civil engineering, architectural and environmental
fields.
HYDEA’s headquarters are in Florence but it has other currently operative overseas
subsidiaries in Belgium, Cape Verde, Djibouti, Fiji Islands, India, Moldova, Samoa.
HYDEA is active in China through the subsidiary company Hydea Beijing,
Achitectural & Engineering Design Consulting CO, Ltd.
In addition to Italy, HYDEA worked and/or has been working in the following
countries:

private companies, in the sectors of architecture, cultural heritage, engineering,
environmental and baseline studies.
This rich experience and the multidisciplinary structure of the company represent the
best solution to the market demand of more and more professional structures able
to manage complex projects in their entirety, following all their technical aspects
from the concept design to the executive stages, including supervision, accounting,
testing and liquidation of the works.
Our permanent staff is highly specialized in different disciplines and we also rely on
the cooperation of external consultants and international research institutes.
HYDEA can boast the best available equipment in the field of digital cartography and
a group of highly qualified employees using Computer Aided Design, Geographic
Information System and remote sensing techniques to support the design activities
as well as the environmental and territorial projects.
In 2006 HYDEA was selected as Italian Partner by Europengineers
(www.europengineers.com), a network of independent European consultants and
engineers.

Study in the basin of the river Saint Marcel (AO) for the assessment of the debris flow risks
and
preliminary
design

relevant
hydraulic
mitigating
measures.
The main objectives of the project are: mapping of the risk-prone areas, evaluation of the
effectiveness of existing protection works, assessment of current risks and inadequacies,
identification of prevention actions to be taken by the Civil Protection Service, should rainfall
events that can trigger debris flow occur.

survey in Menfi, Sciacca and Sambuca di Sicilia, in
the provinces of Agrigento, Castelvetrano and Trapani,
as well as the updating of the soil survey of the entire
‘Menfi DOC territories’.
