Technical features
La Hook Seasmart è un dispositivo (brevettato) che consente l’aggancio automatico della
drizza sull’albero. È adatto per
vele di prua come Code0, A0,
staysail, solent, trinchetta; e per
la randa parancata 2:1. Con questo dispositivo si elimina l’allungamento della drizza sotto
carico e si riduce il carico di compressione sull’albero. La Hook
Seasmart è disponibile in 4 misure ed in due versioni: 1. con
la sola ghiera di bloccaggio, che
va fissata direttamente all’albero (tramite laminazione di un
supporto in carbonio o alluminio); 2. completa, con il supporto
esterno (campana) completo di
puleggia di rinvio della drizza,
da fissare semplicemente con
uno stroppo all’albero.
Il supporto esterno (campana) è
realizzato in alluminio lavorato
CNC da barra, anodizzato nero
hardcote. Il corpo della hook è
in Titanio grado 5 lavorato CNC
da barra.
Seasmart halyard lock is a patented
device which allows to hook a sail
automatically to the mast. Suitable
for headsail as Code0, A0, solent,
staysail, fore staysail; and for the
main sail 2:1. This device eliminates the halyard stretch under load
and reduces the compression load on the mast. Seasmart Hook is
available in 4 sizes and in two versions: 1. with single locking ring,
to be fixed to the mast directly (with a carbon or aluminium bracket);
2. with the external support (bell)
with halyard sheave, to be fixed with a lashing to the mast. The external support (bell) is CNC machined aluminium, hardcote anodized
black. The body of the hook is CNC
machined Titanium grade 5.
Come funziona.
L’utilizzo della hook Seasmart
è semplicissimo, l’issata si effettua con una normalissima drizza, avendo cura di mantenere
l'inferitura in bando, senza dare
tensione alla mura. Quando la
vela è completamente issata è
sufficiente dare un tiro secco per
bloccare la hook in sede (o continuare a cazzare fino a che si
blocca); a questo punto la drizza
rimane libera e va lasciata molla.
Al momento dell'ammainata si
tira la drizza – e il peso stesso
della vela sblocca la hook consentendo l'ammainata. In questo
caso la mura va mantenuta in
tensione prima di sbloccare la
hook. Il dispositivo che determina il bloccaggio e lo sbloccaggio
automatici risiede nella parte
mobile e non in testa d’albero,
ciò che permette di contenere il
peso in testa d’albero e di avere un controllo visivo costante
sulla parte meccanica del dispositivo.
How it works.
The use of Seasmart halyard lock is
very simple. To lock: simply hoist
the sail until it is locked on the top
of the mast (when the sail is fully
hosited you can also take a shot to
engage the hook) - then the halyard
is completely free. You can unfurl
the sail. Note: keep the tack free, without tension, to allow the locking.
To unlock: after furling the sail,
pull the halyard and the weight of
the sail will lunlock the device and
you can lower it. Note: keep tension
to the tack before unlocking.
The automatic locking and unlocking device is located in the mobile part and not on top of the mast,
in order to limit the weight on top
of the mast and have a constant
visual check on the mechanics of
the device.

load) specificati in tabella.

WARNING. The Seasmart Halyard lock
is not to be used over maximum working
load as specified on the chart. Any misuse
of the intended application will void
the warranty and may result in personal
injury and/or damage to the boat.
MANUTENZIONE. Pulire le parti
periodicamente con acqua corrente
ed eventualmente un detergente neutro,
risciacquare accuratamente. Ingrassare
periodicamente le parti mobili con grasso
siliconico. Non usare altri lubrificanti.
Non usare mai prodotti abrasivi, spazzole
metalliche o prodotti aggressivi.
MAINTENANCE. Clean parts with direct fresh
water. When using soap, be sure to use mild
dishwashing liquid and to rinse thoroughly.
Grease regularly the lifting parts with silicone
grease. Don’t use other types of lubricants, they may
damage the anodization and the O-rings. Never use
abrasive cleaning products. Never use steel or brass
wool, polishing wheels or polishing compounds.
