We are pleased to present the sixth edition of the “Lido di Roma Basketball Tournament”:
When and where will it take place?
The Tournament will take place in Ostia (a sea resort near Rome on the Roman coast)
from 27 to 29 December 2014 for:
Under 13 Female born in 2002, 2003;
Under 14 Female born in 2001, 2002;
And from 3 to 6 January 2015 for:
Under 12 Male born in 2003, 2004;
Under 13 Male born in 2002, 2003;
Under 15 Male born in 2000, 2001;

The In.To.Rome, International Basketball Tournament VI is organized by the “Lido di Roma
Basketball under F.I.B.A. and F.I.P. (Italian Basketball Association) rules and under the
auspicies of the city of Rome.

Tournament formula
Taking part will be 6-8 female teams and 816 male teams. All games will be played
under official “Federal Basketball Rules”
and with official referees. Each team will
play 4 games.

Accomodation
Teams that have joined the "Mare di Roma" project (Sea of Rome) can choose to stay in
either three or four stars hotels.
Lido di Roma have made available various gyms for the players, each within an 8 Km
distance. We recommend that you arrange for your own transport to and from the gyms.

Rome the Eternal City
Players and staff taking part in the Tournament can join an
organized tour of the Roman city of Ostia Antica - the ancient port
of Rome. Ostia is a suburb of Rome and is just 30 minutes away
from the Capital. Public transport is readily available by train and
metro to the centre - Piazza di Spagna, Piazza Navona, Fontana di
Trevi and The Vatican. A popular shopping tour of the worldfamous Via del Corso is also
available.

A basket for Senegal
Efo & Awa no-profit organization, under the auspicies of “Regione
Lazio”, “Comune di Roma” and “X Municipio” of Rome, wants to
diffuse the basketball game to save young from the street. All
teams will be involved in a race to raise funds used to support the
project "Discovering the African basketball", that aims to build a
gym with eco-materials in Pikine, near Dakar. Coach Marco Crespi,
a former coach of the Montepaschi Mens Sana Siena basketball and current coach of Saski
Baskonia (Spain), is the official spokesperson of the project.
Cost per Team: FULL formula
The cost for the enrolment of each team is 150.00 € and includes the following:
We suggest the FULL formula (hotel included) to all sport clubs wishing to stay near the sport
centers and the city center.
The total cost for each player is 170.00 € and it includes:
a) VI Lido di Roma Tournament enrolment
b) Accommodation in double / triple / quadruple rooms (depending on availability at
time of booking) at the hotels association "Mare di Roma" (Century Hotel Belvedere,
Hotel Bellavista, Litus Roma Hostel, Hotel La Sirenetta);
c) 4 meals from dinner on January 3rd to lunch on January 6th. The lunch on January 3
is not included; if you would like lunch on January 3rd or dinner on January 6th our
partner restaurants will be happy to offer you a complete menu at 12.00 €;
d) Medical assistance
e) Sightseeing in Rome and Ostia, including the Ostia Antica historical sights
f) Promotional gifts
The cost for staff (coach or assistant) accompanying the team is 180.00 €.
If the team is composed of at least 12 players, we will host the two staff members
free of charge (in double room). If single rooms are required, there is an additional
charge of 15.00€ per day for each room.

The cost for the enrolment of each team is 100.00€ and includes the following:
a) VI Lido di Roma Tournament enrolment
b) Medical assistance
c) Promotional gifts
Athletes and staff can reserve lunch and dinner from partner restaurants at 12.00€ per
person. Booking is available untill December 30th 2014.
