VORTICE DI NULLA PROGRESSIVE / PSICHEDELICA / SPERIMENTALE FROM ITALY I Vortice di Nulla si formano nell’ormai lontano 2004 quando tre amici di vecchia data decidono di formare un gruppo di musica strumentale e psichedelica. Per i primi anni infatti la band si muove in questa direzione, componendo brani caratterizzati da lunghe cavalcate interrotte bruscamente da sfuriate noise. Testimone di questa fase è il demo autoprodotto “Mithosi”, primo lavoro del quartetto cremasco. Col passare del tempo tuttavia il sound del gruppo si fa più ricercato grazie anche all’aggiunta di synth e tastiere. La maturazione sonora dei Vortice si avverte ascoltando “I’m with Tortillas, throwing stones in the water”, pubblicato nel 2008 per l’etichetta indipendente Trazeroeuno records. Un ulteriore passo in avanti dal punto di vista compositivo è caratterizzato dal terzo album della band, “The roundabouts mania” (2010), sempre edito da Trazeroeuno e composto da brani diretti e senza fronzoli che attirano critiche positive da diversi addetti ai lavori.
