INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Thank you for purchasing the CLP-100 Phaser, Computar has created it to
reply to customers requirement; we are sure you will appreciate the precious
help of this tool in your daily job and that it will contribute to do it more
professionally and efficiently.
You are kindly requested to read these instruction carefully before starting to
use the product, while we wish to remember you to install a 9V battery as
specified below in the WARNING section.
Connect camera to be phase adjusted to input “B”; the right lower dash
on LCD display will turn on and a number will appear on the display .

Connect a reference camera to input “A”. The CLP-100 will automatically
power on and the upper right dash on the LCD display will turn on.

NOTE: This number shows the difference in phase, measured in
TV lines, between the two sync pulses signals.
Disconnect camera from input “B” and repeat step 2 and 3 for all
cameras in the system, always using camera connected to input
“A” as reference.

Slowly turn the phase adjustment trimmer on the camera connected to
input “B”, until reading is as close as possible to “00”.

Disconnecting all inputs will POWER OFF the CLP-100.
A. Indicates a video signal is connected to BNC input “A”. The dash turns
on and off automatically when video signal is input (make sure battry is
connected).
B. Indicates a video signal is connected to BNC input “B”. It turns on only
if at input “A” a video signal is present at the same time.
C. The 2 and 1/2 digits show the phase difference between the two input
video signals; to obtain a perfect vertical fields syncronisation the
readout
must
be
as
close
as
possible
to
“00”.
Accuracy of measurement is within 10 µs (< 1 TV line).
D. When on indicates that the comparison of the two signals is between
“ODD” and “EVEN” fields.
WARNING
Battery life is approximately 6 months in normal use and 2 months in case
of continous operation; if you plan not to use the product for a certain time,
please disconnect the battery while leaving it in its holder, ready for future
use.

OR COMPATIBLES. IF YOU USE RECHARGEABLES BATTERIES PLEASE
NOTE DISCONNECT IT FROM THE CLP-100 BEFORE RECHARGING.
REMOVE EXHAUSTED BATTERIES IMMEDIATELY; ACID LEAKAGE MAY
DAMAGE THE UNIT INTERNAL PARTS AND VOIDS THE WARRANTY.

ISTRUZIONI PER L’USO
Vi ringraziamo per aver acquistato il Phaser CLP-100, prodotto realizzato
da Computar per rispondere alle esigenze dei suoi clienti. Siamo certi che
apprezzerete il prezioso aiuto che questo strumento porterà al vostro lavoro,
rendendolo più efficiente e professionale. Vi chiediamo cortesemente di
leggere queste brevi istruzioni prima di iniziare ad usarlo, e Vi rammentiamo di
inserire una batteria da 9V nell’apposito scomparto, tenendo in considerazione
l’avviso sotto riportato.
1.
Collegate la telecamera che desiderate utilizzare come riferimento
all’ingresso “A”. Il CLP-100 si accenderà automaticamente e, sul display
LCD, si attiverà l’indicatore in alto a destra: ciò indica la presenza di un
segnale video in ingresso al connettore “A”.
2.
Collegate all’ingresso “B” la telecamera che desiderate sincronizzare.
Sul display LCD si attiverà l’indicatore in basso a destra: ciò indica la
presenza di un segnale video in ingresso al connettore “B”; verrà
inoltre visualizzato un numero di riferimento.
ATTENZIONE: Questo numero mostra la differenza, misurata in
linee di segnale televisivo, tra i semiquadri dei due segnali
collegati agli ingressi.

Ora, procedete alla regolazione della fase relativa alla telecamera
collegata all’ingresso “B”, finché la lettura sul display LCD sia il più
stabilmente possibile vicina a “00”.

Scollegate la telecamera dall’ingresso “B” e ripetete i punti 2 e 3 per
tutte le telecamere presenti nel sistema, mantenendo sempre come
riferimento la telecamera di cui al punto 1.
Alla fine del processo scollegate entrambi gli ingressi; il CLP-100 si
spegnerà automaticamente.
A. Indica che un segnale video è collegato al BNC di ingresso “A”. Si
accende e si spegne automaticamente alla presenza del segnale
(assicurarsi che la batteria sia collegata ed efficiente).
B. Indica che un segnale video è collegato al BNC di ingresso “B”. Si
accende solo se, contemporaneamente, un segnale di riferimento è
presente sull’ingresso “A”.
C. Le due cifre digitali e 1/2 indicano la differenza di fase tra i due segnali
video presenti agli ingressi. Per ottenere una sincronizzazione perfetta
la lettura dovrà indicare un valore il più possibile vicino a “00”. La
tolleranza sulla lettura è di 10 µs, cioè inferiore ad una linea TV.
D. Quando è acceso indica che i due segnali video sono comparati non
sullo stesso semiquadro, bensì uno su quello pari e l’altro su quello
dispari. Per applicazioni normali attraverso l’uso di commutatori video,
ciò non provoca alcun problema (a patto che la differenza di fase sia
prossima al valore “00”).
La durata della batteria è di circa 6 mesi, se costantemente collegata allo
strumento (anche se questo non viene utilizzato) ed è di circa 2 mesi
in caso di funzionamento continuo. Se lo strumento non viene utilizzato
per lunghi periodi, si consiglia di scollegare la batteria e lasciarla nello
scompartimento pronta per un futuro utilizzo.
UTILIZZATE ESCLUSIVAMENTE BATTERIE ALCALINE TIPO MN1604 O
EQUIVALENTI. SE UTILIZZATE BATTERIE RICARICABILI NiCd, DOVETE
RICARICARLE TOGLIENDOLE DALLO STRUMENTO. RIMUOVETE
IMMEDIATAMENTE LE BATTERIE ESAURITE, LA FUORIUSCITA DI ACIDO
PUO’ DANNEGGIARE LO STRUMENTO ED ANNULLA LA GARANZIA.
BEDIENUNGSANWEISUNG
UTILISATION
1.
Branchez la sortie vidéo de la caméra de référence sur l’entrée “ A”. Le
CLP 100 se mettra automatiquement sous tension et le repère en haut
à droite s’allumera.
2.
Branchez la sortie vidéo de la caméra dont il faut régler la phase sur
l’entrée “B”. Le repère en bas à droite s’allume et un chiffre s’inscrit
sur I’afficheur.

Das CLP 100 schaltet sich automatisch ein und ein Strich beginnt
rechts oben im LCD Display zu blinken.

Einzustellende Kamera(s) nacheinander am Eingang “B” anschließen.
Es blinkt nun ein Strich rechts unten und ein Zahlenwert erscheint im
LCD Display.
BEMERKUNG: Dieser Zahlenwert zeigt den gemessenen
Unterschied in Anzahl von “TV-Zeilen” zwischen zwei
Synchronisationimpulsen an.
REMARQUE: ce chiffre indique le nombre de lignes de différence
entre les impulsions de synchro frame des deux caméras.

Tournez doucement le potentiomètre de réglage de phase de la caméra
reliée à l’entrée “B”, jusqu’à lire de façon stable le plus petit chiffre
possible, au mieux: “00”.
4.
Débranchez la caméra de l’entrée “B”, et y brancher une autre caméra.
Répétez les opérations 1, 2 et 3 pour toutes les caméras du système,
en utilisant toujours la même caméra sur l’entrée “A”.
L’appareil se met automatiquement hors tension lorsque les deux
entrées sont débranchées.

Potentiometer für die Phasenlage langsam verdreht, bis der im
Display angezeigte Unterschied nur noch wenige Zeilen, oder
idealerweise “00” beträgt.
4.
So werden alle zum System gehörenden Kameras nacheinander
mit der an “A” angeschlossenen Referenzkamera verglichen und
gegebenfalls, wie oben beschrieben, abgeglichen.
Nach Entfemungaller Anschlüsseschaltet sich das CLP 100 automatisch
aus.
