4 règles d’or pour lutter contre le vol 1 - Achetez un bon antivol Un bon antivol en U (photo de droite) est la meilleure protection contre le vol. Equipez-vous donc d’au moins un U, classé au minimum 2 roues dans les tests d’antivols FUB. Les antivols fixes (photo de gauche) bloquant la roue arrière, très solides, constituent un complément utile à un antivol en U. Leur ouverture par effraction nécessite d’appliquer des forces importantes, susceptibles d’endommager le vélo. Les antivols pliants « mètres de menuisier », qui permettent d’attacher plus facilement le cadre à un point fixe, apportent certes une protection supérieure à celle des câbles. Cependant, la forme plate des bras articulés leur confère une très grande vulnérabilité comparativement aux U. Les chaînes dont la section des maillons est inférieure à 5 mm ne sont pas recommandées. Pour atteindre le niveau 1, il leur faut un diamètre minimal de 6 mm, en acier très dur. Les antivols type « câbles » sont à bannir. Ceux dont le diamètre est inférieur à 10 mm ne résistent pas plus de 2 secondes ! Stop au vol de vélos : Comment choisir un bon antivol ? Nouveaux tests d'antivols 2 - Cadenassez toujours votre vélo Même pour une courte durée : un antivol fixe (ou de cadre) permet dans ce cas de verrouiller la roue arrière du vélo sans perdre de temps. Même à l’intérieur : un vol sur deux a lieu à domicile (cave, garage, hall d’immeuble, etc.). Contrairement aux idées reçues, beaucoup de vols sont commis en plein jour, dans des lieux passants ; le voleur utilise un outil discret ou il prétend qu’il a perdu la clé de l’antivol. 3 - Attachez le cadre à un point fixe • Attachez le cadre et si possible la roue avant (plus facile à voler) à un point fixe. • Accrochez votre antivol de préférence en hauteur (50 cm minimum). 4 - Faites marquer votre vélo Pour lutter contre le vol, la FUB propose également le marquage BICYCODE®, un numéro uniqué gravé sur le cadre du vélo et enregistré dans un fichier national unique sur www.bicycode.org. Plus de 400 000 vols de vélos par an ! Chaque année, environ 150 000 vélos retrouvés abandonnés ne peuvent être restitués, faute d’identification... Mais beaucoup de cyclistes se contentent d’acquérir un antivol au moindre coût sans s’inquiéter de son efficacité ! Or il en est de très insuffisants dont on peut venir à bout facilement en quelques secondes sans attirer l’attention. La FUB a donc décidé de s’attaquer au phénomène en publiant des tests d’antivols parallèlement à la promotion du marquage BICYCODE® des vélos. REVV, association membre de la FUB, a la charge d’effectuer chaque année des tests sur les antivols du commerce, en vue de mettre en évidence ceux qui présentent un niveau de protection satisfaisant, et inversement de pointer ceux qui sont notablement insuffisants. Deux niveaux d’homologation ❂ : Le niveau « 1 roue » est attribué aux antivols qui résistent aux effractions nécessitant uniquement des outils « discrets », de dimensions inférieures à 30 cm, dans un temps court. ❂❂ : Le niveau « 2 roues » est attribué aux antivols qui résistent à des outils plus agressifs mais moins discrets (dimensions inférieures à 75 cm), dans un temps donné.
