はじめに
Altiris Deployment Solution では、Windows ベースの Deployment Server システムと Web ベース
Altiris Solutions およびサーバーを統合しました。特定サイトもしくは限定されたサブネットの
Deployment Server システムには、ローカルレベルでのコンピュータリソースの日々の管理に使
用する Windows アプリケーション、ツール、ユーティリティが組み込まれています。また、
Deployment Web Console により Web ブラウザからの管理が可能になりました。
Deployment Solution を使用することで、コンピュータグループを設定したり、導入ジョブをスケジ
ューリングしたり、ディスクイメージを配布したり、パッケージを更新する作業が簡単にできます。
Deployment Solution には、ユーザーのニーズに合わせてシステムをデザインするための多様なツー
ル、ユーティリティ、アプリケーションが用意されています。

サイレントインストール
Deployment Solution では、Deployment Solution のインストールウィザードを使ってインストール
を進めながら、応答ファイル (install.ini) を作成することができます。この応答ファイル (install.ini)
は、サイレントインストールの実行時に自動的にオプションを設定します。

今回リリースされる新機能
Deployment Solution 6.8 SP2 では、以下の様な新機能が追加されています。
Symantec® Ghost® Imaging をサポート
重要： Deployment Solution には、Ghost 実行ファイルや Symantec Ghost の使用ライセンスは
含まれません。このサポートを有効にするには、ghost.exe および/または、ghost32.exe イメージ
ング実行ファイルをコピーする必要があります。
現在 Ghost Imaging Solution をご利用いただいている場合は、Ghost 実行ファイルを Deployment
Server にコピーして、[ディスクイメージの作成] と [ディスクイメージの配布] タスクから Ghost
Imaging を有効にするという方法を選択いただけます。
Deployment Share 上に、Symantec Ghost のサポートを追加するには、まず、[ghost] フォルダを作
成します。次に、ghost.exe (DOS サポートの場合) および / または ghost32.exe (WinPE サポー
トの場合) を、このフォルダにコピーします。
Symantec Ghost が、[ディスクイメージの作成] と [ディスクイメージの配布] タスクで選択可能に
なります。 Deployment Share のルートディレクトリに存在する設定ファイル (ImageTools.ini) の
中で、設定を変更して Ghost の動作をカスタマイズすることができます。
例） DOS のデフォルトのコマンドライン
CreateImageCommandLine=-clone,MODE=create,SRC=1,DST=%IMAGE_FILENAME% -sure
この設定は、ImageTools.ini で変更してカスタマイズすることができます。また、この他にも設定
内容を変更できるものがあります。
Windows Vista 用の Deployment Agent（DAgent）
DAgent のインストール (サイレントインストールを含む) に関する詳細な説明は、DAgent のイン
ストール（英文）を参照してください。
Windows Vista コンピュータに Deployment Agent をインストールする場合は、クライアントサイ
ドのエージェント構成ユーティリティをインストールする方法を選択できます。このインターフェ
ースは、他の Windows オペレーティングシステム上の Deployment Agent のための構成インター
フェースと同様の機能を持ちます。エージェント構成ユーティリティをインストールするには、
DAgent のインストール時に、[Dagent Config] コンポーネントオプションを選択します。
構成ユーティリティは、[スタート] - [Altiris] - [Deployment Solution] - [DAgent Configuration] を選択
して起動します。
自動化起動中の [待機] タスク
コンピュータが起動して管理不能な状態になることを避けるため [待機] タスクが用意されていま
す。これは新しいタスクで、コンピュータを自動化起動中に留まって指示を待たせるというタスク
です。
シンクライアントビューの強化
シンクライアントビューは、[インベントリの取得] タスクや[ソフトウェアパッケージ] ペインが用
意され強化されました。
Windows のリモートデスクトップ接続
コンソールで Windows XP コンピュータもしくは Windows Vista コンピュータを右クリックすると、
[リモートデスクトップ] オプションが、コンテキストメニューに表示されます。このオプションを
選択すると、Windows リモートデスクトップユーティリティが起動して、コンピュータをリモート
コントロールできます。
Windows XP コンピュータでは、Deployment コンソールの統合リモートコントロール機能を使用
するというオプションを選択できます。
