RENFREWSHIRE RISING May 2014 Renfrewshire Women’s Association Newsletter Renfrewshire Women’s Association AGM Took place on Tuesday 24th June at the Wynd Centre in Paisley and the re-brand of Renfrewshire Women’s Association to Renfrewshire Rising was agreed along with the other agreed constitution changes making it even easier for our community to come together as one voice against Gender Based Violence in all it’s forms. New committee members were welcomed on board and we said goodbye to one of our past members Claire O’Hara and wish her well as she ventures into pastures new . Together we can make a real difference in raising awareness about gender based violence so if you are interested in learning more about the work we do please get in touch. Introducing Renfrewshire Rising Thanks to funding from the Local Area Committees the re-launching of Renfrewshire Women’s Association as Renfrewshire Rising, One Voice Against Gender based Violence will be heralded in with a few surprises. The aim of the rebrand is to make it even easier for our community to come together to eradicate gender based violence from our community. We will be marching through the streets of Paisley making our presence felt and our voices heard. As the echoes reverberate around our community we will finish the evening in Paisley Town Hall with refreshments, information and a chance to speak to some of the members of Renfrewshire Rising.
