ature as a source of inspiration, a wealth of materials and colours,
a point of departure for a project founded on authenticity and beauty.
This is what led Francesco Ilorini Mo to set up Agnona in 1953, driven
by a consuming passion for knowledge, left his valleys to travel across
Australia, Peru and China looking for the best places to farm wool,
cashmere, alpaca and vicuña.
The key constant throughout the life of Ilorini Mo has been his vocation
for excellence, which enabled him to become a supplier of fabrics to
couturiers like Dior, Balenciaga, Yves Saint Laurent and Valentino
and then a producer of fashion.
Zegna Group immediately believed in Ilorini Mo s project, it understood
its huge creative force and decided to support it, thus giving rise to an
extraordinary partnership that resulted in the Group taking over Agnona
in 1999. This gave the brand a new strength as it opened prestige
boutiques in the world s most exclusive shopping locations.

PRODUCTION
Lanificio Cerrutiは、その資産の大部分を、製品に卓越した

お互いに交差し布地を形成していきます。
デザイナーや技術者たちが一工程づつ、
ジャガード・パターン
、色彩など仕掛かり品の管理を行い、チェッルティの布地の
誕生をフォローアップします。
織りあがった生地には、仕上がりにつれて明らかになる
美しさの秘密が内包されています。多くの工程、特に水、
スチーム、圧力、熱等が相互作用の研究により、軽量で柔軟
性に富む生地が生み出されます。
チェッルティは、
このプロセスにおいて完成度の高い専門的
技術を開発し、お客様の望みを叶えるよう努めています。
1924年に父が創立したメゾンを20歳の時に継ぎ、
半世紀以上もの長い年月を刺繍ひと筋に捧げ
モード界に欠かせない重要な存在となったオート
クチュール刺繍の巨匠、
フランソワ・ルサージュ。
刺繍はオートクチュールが生まれた19世紀半ばから
女性たちの装いに華を添える重要な装飾品であった
が、素材は様々な色合いの糸のみであった。
そこにルサージュはスパングルやリボンなどで刺繍
に多彩な表情を与え、尽きることのないアイディアで
オートクチュールの刺繍に新風を吹き込んだ。
バルマン、バレンシアガ、ディオール、
ジバンシィ、
サンローラン、
ラクロワ、
シャネルらを次々に顧客に
得て、2002年にはシャネルの傘下に入り、
メディエ
ダールコレクションを制作する。
フランソワルサージュは2011年に82歳でその生涯を
閉じたが、彼の素晴らしい功績はいまも職人たちに
よって引き継がれている。
In 1804 near Nottingham in England,a young mechanic
called John Heathcoat observed the movement of lacemaker s fingers as she created her tulle.
He started dreaming of a machine doing the same job.
Four years later, the first centimeters of tulle were created
using his invention and this marvelous tool was exported
to France. This is why still today, these machines are found
in the North of France, just on the other side of the English
Channel.
At that same time, the French mechanic, Joseph-Marie Jacquard,
invented a weaving loom which follows perforated cards.
Thus Leavers looms are born: large machines weighing between
ten and fifteen tons, welve meters in length from which today
still the finest and most delicate lace comes: the lace of Calais!

A Family Run Enterprise with
a 100 year Tradition
When Conrad Forster Willi founded his embroidery
company in 1904 under the name of Forster Willi & Co.,
embroidery was Switzerland's most important export
market.
Although this segment of the Swiss textile industry has
since undergone a number of major transformations,
the fascination for this unusually versatile product
remains along with the invaluable know how that has
been handed down from one generation of employees
to the next.
The enterprise is today run by Emanuel Forster,
a great-grandson of the company founder.
