塚田
健一（つかだ
けんいち）
＜プロフィール＞
民族音楽学者・文化人類学者。東京芸術大学大学院修士課程修了、イ
ンディアナ大学大学院人類学科修士課程修了、ベルファスト・クイー
ンズ大学大学院社会人類学科博士課程修了。Ph.D。民族音楽学を小
泉文夫、アラン・メリアム、ジョン・ブラッキングの各氏に師事。こ
れまで音楽学と人類学の境界領域で、アフリカを中心に台湾山地、パ
プアニューギニア、沖縄などの音楽文化の研究に従事。国際伝統音楽学会理事、国際アフリ
カ音楽舞踊センター顧問、ロンドン大学アシュゲート音楽学叢書編集委員、ユネスコ無形文
化遺産審査委員、東洋音楽学会会長などを歴任。主著の『アフリカ音楽学の挑戦―伝統と変
容の音楽民族誌』
（世界思想社、2014）で第 32 回田邊尚雄賞受賞。その他、アフリカ伝統音
楽に関連して坂本龍一氏の「スコラ」プロジェクトにも参加している。
