Funeral ceremony and the village community from the perspective Based on fieldwork in Baba mura,akiu-machei,Miyagi ken Sendai Japan (Li Jing) (Guangdong Ocean University) Abstract: I found the "Baba mura "is not simple community, is a forme modern village community characteristics of the community. So, I think that isrelated to the cultural identity and the villagers. The "Baba mura" villagers'cultural identity is mainly embodied in the "public" and "private" in the village of ritual activities. Ritual activities of "public" refers to the village everyyear a large sacrifice and the festival day, ritual activities of "private" refers to the villagers' life by the etiquette of the individual, but here mainly refers to the village of the funeral ceremony. In this paper, the miyagi, Japan sendai akiu-machei at the funeral ceremony as the research object, to reveal the funeral ceremony role in sustaining village community.
