Intertek Offers Sunglasses Testing Services for Japanese Market
The Japan Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry has established a household goods
quality labeling law, which aims at making the labeling of household goods relating to their
quality fair and appropriate so that the interests of general consumers can be protected.
Intertek Hong Kong has expanded our service scope to include sunglasses testing for the
Japanese market, hence assisting our clients in meeting the requirements stated in the
household goods quality labeling law.
Sunglasses Compliance in Japanese Market:
Sunglasses are classified into three categories: polarized sunglasses, sunglasses and
fashion glasses. Each category has its own test requirements and should be labeled
properly. Tests include ultraviolet ray transmission, visible ray transmission, refractivity and
parallelism, and test methods will be referenced to relevant clauses stated in JIS T
8141:2003 and JIS T 8147:2003.
According to the labeling law, the labeling of the sunglasses should include the following
content:
- Product name
- Lens material
- Frame material
- Visible ray transmission

应一致，以便保护消费者的利益。
针对日本市场太阳眼镜的测试要求，Intertek 提供全面快捷的测试服务，帮助客户符合家庭用
品质量标签法的要求。
日本市场太阳眼镜法规符合性：
太阳眼镜分为三个类别：偏光镜、太阳镜和时尚眼镜。每个类别都有各自的测试要求，并且需
要正确的标签。测试项目包括紫外线透射、可见光透射、折射率和平行性；测试方法则依照
