HKU Faculty of Dentistry to Hold World No
Tobacco Day event for public and dental students
Faculty of Dentistry at The University of Hong Kong will be holding a series of anti-tobacco
events: 1) Oral Health Exhibition for the general public, 2) Seminar on Tobacco Cessation
Counselling for dental students.
1) Oral Health Exhibition
 Activities: The exhibition will provide the public
with oral health information, brushing and flossing
demonstrations, oral hygiene instruction, tobacco
cessation counselling, quizzes to check oral health
knowledge, door souvenirs.
 Venue: Main lobby of the Prince Philip Dental
Hospital, 34 Hospital Road, Sai Ying Pun, Hong
Kong (MTR Sai Ying Pun Station Exit B2)
 Date: Wednesday, 31 May 2017
 Time: 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
 Languages: Cantonese and English
Opening Ceremony 9:00 am, led by Prof CH Chu,

2) Tobacco Cessation Counselling seminar
 Presentation of research findings on Dental students' awareness, preparedness and
barriers towards managing tobacco-using patient, introduction to tobacco-cessation
counselling, knowledge sharing on epidemiology, correct use of pharmacotherapy and
suggestions to improve anti-tobacco trainings in HKU.




