SO HOW TO WIN?
RANK YOUR
TOP THREE UNIVERSITIES
WISELY !!!
These choices impact your chances
of getting allocated in the GEM Explorer programme.
SELECTION PROCESS
GEM Explorer’s selection process is guided by
• Your university ranking choices*
• Selection Criteria (priority of applicants)
• Availability of spots
* Based on the Selection Criteria, the system shall
attempt to allocate students to their Choice 1 first. If
this is unsuccessful, the system shall attempt to
allocate students to their Choice 2.
SELECTION CRITERIA (PRIORITY)
1.
CN Yang, TSP, & USP Scholars
–
2.
Nationality: Singaporean & Singapore PR > International
–
3.
If you are a scholar, you will be guaranteed exchange
placement during your course of study at NTU. The success of
your allocation still depends on ranking choices and availability.
The system shall pick applicants based on nationality for
allocation. Ranking choices, CGPA, and availability still affect
allocation.
Academic Performance
–
Next, GEM Explorer prioritises applicants based on academic
performance. Applicants with comparatively lower CGPAs
should be mindful of ranking only top-tier universities with limited
spots. Ranking choices and availability applies.
SELECTION CRITERIA (PRIORITY)
4. Seniority
– When it comes down to the last few spots,
the student of a more senior level shall get
allocated.
5. Prior overseas experience via NTU
– When it comes down to the last few spots,
the student of the same seniority with no
prior overseas experience shall get
allocated.
NO 4. AND 5. APPLIES FOR LAST COMPETITIVE SPOTS ONLY!
NEXT: 3. WHEN YOU APPLY
Now that I know I am
• eligible,
• able to take up to 15 - 20 courses at each university
• and financially suitable for exchange, etc
