OTB-POL-CAR-12-16 Carrier Saver Instructions

The OTB-POL-CAR-12-16 is a great upgrade to keep your stock front driveshaft center
support bearing rubber mounts from coming apart. Typically most rubber dampers on a
driveshaft center support bearings are bonded to the mounting frame. The RZR bearing
leaves much to be desired as the rubber mount is not bonded to the frame and the rubber
insert is very soft. This leads to the rubber inserts inevitably falling out even on
machines with low miles. The nice thing about the OTB Carrier Saver is that you can
still make use of the stock bearing and not have to worry about the bearing coming apart.
There are aftermarket pillow block style replacement bearings and while they won't come
apart they add vibration to the chassis and propeller shafts that can cause premature ujoint wear and noticeable noise and vibration to the driver and passengers. This upgrade
kit is really easy to install and you do NOT have to remove the bearing or remove the
drive shafts.
Installation Instructions:
1. Remove skid plate.
2. Install the carrier saver so that the open "U" shape is point down towards skid
plate side. The threaded plate of the carrier saver goes towards the rear of the
vehicle and the bolt heads will face the front of the vehicle. Tighten the 3 bolts
evenly.
3. Install skid plate.
4. Enjoy the fact that you don't have to worry about your carrier bearing coming
apart.
