Webster Bank CMO, Dawn Morris, Receives Women in Business Award
WATERBURY/HARTFORD, CONN., April 5, 2017 – Webster Bank is pleased to announce that Dawn C.
Morris, executive vice president and chief marketing officer, is one of eight top “Women in Business” by the
Hartford Business Journal. Morris joins the seven other outstanding senior level executives, entrepreneurs,
and CEOs who are highly regarded in their respective industries. Morris is the only banking and marketing
executive to be chosen for this 2017 distinguished honor.
Morris joined Webster in 2014 and leads the strategic marketing and customer insights for the $26 billion
regional bank. Her responsibilities include providing leadership, setting the tone, and driving positive results
of the bank’s marketing and communications efforts.

A resident of West Hartford, she is graduate of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, Morris served as a
captain in the Army’s 530th Supply and Service Battalion at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Currently, she serves
as co-chair with Governor Dannel Malloy on the Governor’s Prevention Partnership, and serves on the boards
of The Hartford Stage, Girl Scouts of Connecticut, and Marketing EDGE.
The annual Women in Business luncheon, celebrating its 15th anniversary, will take place on May 10 at the
Hartford Hilton.
