Chairman of the board Anders Priess declared the Pike Perch plant open by cutting the
tape which Morten Priess and Henning Priess were holding.
Previously, the mayor Egon Fræhr, production manager Martin Vestergaard, Anders
Priess and Henning Priess had given their speeches. They were all very proud that it had
been possible to build the plant despite several challenges and obstacles under existing
laws within the environmental area and archaeological finds from antiquity delayed the
building for many months and forced us to move the building hundreds of meters. But
at the end of the day, the pike perch plant started to take shape and we have now the
World’s biggest pike perch RAS plant. The production area is about 10000 m2 and the
yearly production capacity is around 700 tons of pike perch. The state-of-the-art plant,
which re-circulates the water 100% is built with all new technology available. Farmed
pike perch is on the green list of WWF.
After the official inauguration all the guests could enjoy a delicious buffet and taste the
exclusive pike perch, luxury trout caviar and other exquisite specialities.
