Dear Parents and Applicant,
The purpose of this letter is to explain the notification that will be sent to you by five Baton Rouge area Catholic high schools
regarding admission decisions. We hope the following question and answer format will be helpful to you.
Q.
If I receive an offer of admission from my school of first choice, when will I be informed?
A.
Offers of admission from schools of first choice will be mailed on Thursday, February 25, 2016.
Q.
If I do not receive an offer of admission from my school of first choice, when will I be notified by my school of second or
third choice?
A.
Notification from schools of second or third choice regarding completion of their application process will be sent on
Thursday, February 25, 2016.
Q.
If I receive a letter requesting completion of the application process at my school of second or third choice, does that mean
that I will not receive an offer of admission from my school of first choice?
A.
If a student receives a letter from his or her school of second or third choice requesting completion of the application process, he or she will not receive an offer of admission from the school of first choice. In this case, the school of first choice
will follow up with a letter to such applicants. These letters will be mailed on Friday, February 26, 2016.
Q.
If a student will not receive an offer of admission from any school, what will happen?
A.
If a student will not receive an offer of admission from any school, a letter from the school of first choice will be sent on
Thursday, February 25, 2016. Included in this letter will be an explanation that the application was reviewed by the
schools of second and third choice, and that admission is not available in any of the schools.
In order to facilitate postal delivery, all letters scheduled for mailing on Thursday, February 25, will be taken to the post office by
noon on Thursday, February 25.
Once again, we would like to thank you for your interest in Catholic high schools. We are hopeful that this system of collaboration
will provide a beneficial service to prospective students and their parents. If you have any additional questions about this process,
please do not hesitate to contact the admission offices in our schools.
Sincerely yours in Christ,
