Summer Camp
Thorncroft Summer Camp introduces riders to
the excitement, challenges, and responsibilities of
horseback riding and care. While learning respect
and cooperation for each other, the campers’ days
will be filled with horse related activates. Riders of
all levels will enjoy the experience of learning about
the sport of horseback riding while having fun with
friends!
Campers
• Camp is scheduled for 12 campers,
7–12 years of age
• Campers will ride in two groups of 6 per day with
our instructors according to their riding ability
• Campers arrive at 9:00 am and are picked up
by 2:00 pm each day. If aftercare is needed it
may be scheduled in advance with the office for
$20.00/hour
• Campers must be able to participate in the
daily activities independently. We are not able to
accommodate campers that require “one-on-one”
support or TSSs.
A Campers Day
Campers will meet their instructors and CIT’s each
morning in the Great Room by the North Arena,
entering through the green double doors. Under
the guidance of a seasoned riding instructor and
assisted by our CIT’s, campers will learn the basics of
grooming, tacking, and riding.
Ride...
Campers will receive a one hour riding lesson
each day tailored towards the ability and experience
of each individual rider. Emphasizing hands on
experience, we strive to reach a balance between
work and fun.
Swim...
Accompanied by their instructors, campers will
enjoy water games and swimming at the Farm pool.
