Sumnmary of recommendations of the Telenurse Prague meeting
It is recommended:
•that ICN establishes an international panel of experts
•that the international panel is composed of experts appointed by the ICN
program director of ICNP
•that the international panel regularly addresses incoming comments upon ICNP
•that comments on ICNP are processed by the international panel in a
transparent and well-defined manner
•that decisions by the international panel are taken according to clearly definied
decision procedures
•that decisions are guided by the overall aim of maintaining ICNP as a regularly
updated unifying framework or reference terminology for nursing

Unifying Framework/
Standard Reference Terminology
for
Nursing in Europe.
Specific Goal of FUGUE:
Demonstrations of comparability
between nursing classification systems
through a single interface to ICNP
instead of multiple ad hoc interfaces to each other.
Recommendations of the Telenurse Prague meeting
It is recommended:
•that ICN establishes an international body of experts in order to maintain the ICNP
•that this international body is composed of experts appointed by either the national
nurses associations in liason with the ICN or the ICN program director of ICNP taking
into account geographical and professional concerns.
•that this international body regularly address incoming comments upon the ICNP
These comments may concern both the (re-) organisation of existing terms and the
addition of new terms.
•that comments are processed by this international body in a transparent manner
according to a well-defined deadlines, including deadlines for responses to comments.
•that decisions by this international body are taken according to clearly definied
decision procedure. Decisions are be based upon either consensus (major changes)
or voting procedures (minor changes)
•that decisions regarding both the (re-)organisation of existing terms and the addition
of new terms are guided by the overall aim of maintainig ICNP as a regularly updated
unifying framework or reference terminology allowing comparability between systems
through a single interface to ICNP instead of multiple ad hoc interfaces to each other
