Principal’s Message
With the arrival of a new year, comes
the conclusion of term 2 and for our Sr.
students, semester 1. At such a turn,
one cannot help but to stop and take
stalk of the school year thus far. Upon
such reflection, I cannot begin to
express the incredible amount of pride
I have about our school. The culture of
our building continues to be positive
and upbeat, which is resulting in an
increase commitment and devotion to
attendance, academics and athletics.
Thank-you to all staff, parents and
especially students of TMSS for your
continued devotion towards “Striving
for Excellence” and welcome to 2016!!

Shout Outs
Grace Schreiner is December’s Student of the Month
for Grade 6. Grace is a kind, quiet, and patient person.
She works hard at school, always challenges herself to
think more deeply, and to see the other side of issues.
Grace has recently earned a role in our upcoming
middle year’s drama production as one of the
goddesses. We are looking forward to a great
performance from Grace in drama, and a great rest of
her academic year in grade six! Congratulations Grace!
The grade 7 shout out goes to Ashley Kidney. Ashley
has a positive attitude, and is enthusiastic in her
learning, listening, and reading. She consistently gets
her work completed on time, and asks for work ahead
of time if she knows she will be absent. She is a great
example of choosing to learn, and taking responsibility.
Congratulations, Ashley!
The grade 8 December shout out goes to Brock
Cresswell. Brock continues to work diligently at his
assignments and takes care to make sure they are
accurate and completed on time. Brock is actively
engages in his assignments and helps others to
complete assigned tasks. Great work Brock!
The grade 9 December shout out goes to Wesley
Brabant. Wesley is an enthusiastic, cheerful student
who has fit in well here at TMSS and already wellknown by many students and staff. He always has a
smile on his face and is a positive asset to the TMSS
student body.
The grade 10 shout-out goes to Shawnti Gratton. She
has shown a remarkable ability in class in her response
and application of feedback in her daily work. Shawnti
often asks questions if she does not fully understand
the mechanics of what we are doing in order to
continue to improve her knowledge in physical literacy.
Keep up the good work Shawnti!
The grade 11 shout out goes to Karter Lucas. Karter
shows enthusiasm and a willingness to try challenging
things in class. Karter actively takes part in class
discussions and he makes sure everyone is included.
Keep up the good work Karter!
